@senatorsrule65: Be the change that you want to see in the world.

Is it wrong if you prefer 8 inches? Oh my, what did I just write?
  • + 39
Do you provide a fax number so that I can fax in my order for this paper calendar? Fire that number to my pager please. 911. ;-)
  • + 1
Can I have the Pinkbike address so I can mail you my calendar request form and a Post Office money order? My parents or guardians will sign the form for me.

I appreciate that we're all very electronic these days... I'd struggle without the coordination of work and personal life that my iphone calendar provides. But sometimes, It's nice to have a calendar hanging in the office that reminds us of days not spent working...a visual reminder of all awesome things biking. Some of us get tired of staring at screens too much. Actual photos (not screens) are comparably pleasant to look at... just don't try to spread your fingers to zoom in on a photograph.

@erikkellison: Agree 100%. Although I use my email calendar for all of my appointments, meetings, etc., I love having a calendar hanging at home and at the office to reference a quick date and of course, look at the beautiful pictures to see what I'd rather be doing Smile

Why does everyone have to be a snarky f*ck these days? No calendar and there'd be bitching; calendar and there's bitching. How about the PB massive make a conscious effort to try being a little more about community and less about f*ckstickery for 2018?

@CRAFTY-P: It’s not just these days chief, check out John 11:16-19, Jesus was harping on about the same thing more than 2000 years ago. “Haters gonna hate” original...

I guess there's no version with Monday as first day of the week? In many countries the week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday.

Agree. Even though our calendar officially says Sunday is the first day of the week, I think we can all agree that Sunday feels like the end of the week, and not the beginning.
Whose idea was that anyway?
  • + 5
@erikkellison: well the idea of a seven day week is from ancient Judaism, but their 7th day was our Saturday not Sunday. The weekend came out of the British industrial north and the five day working week was born out of the American depression and mostly adopted worldwide thereafter at which point Sunday started to feel like the end of the week when it was incorporated into the weekend and Christian society met in church so as to not be confused with the Jewish sabbath which is still held traditionally from Friday sunset through to Saturday sunset...

or is this one of those questions you Weren't expecting to be answered, like when the english ask how are you?
  • + 1
Good spot, I was thinking about ordering one until I saw your post.
  • + 1
 @korev:
Actually for German speakers, the week should start with Sunday. Otherwise the 'Mittwoch' isn't the actual middle of the week anymore, so we would have to rename Thursday to Mittwoch and come up with something different for Wednesday...
  • + 1
@cvoc: You know Wednesday literally means "Woden`s / Odin`s day", the chief germanic diety.
Then som crazy virgin-birth-cult came along and decided it was smart to remove the chief diety of a competing cults` namesday with "middle-week-day". Tyr, Thor, Frei, and Saturn kept their namesdays atleast.
  • + 1
 @Ynotgorilla:
Ok, thanks. Actually, I googled a bit more and indeed: it turns out there was already a Wodenstag in Old High German. So it's actually a problem that didn't have to exist in the first place if they had just kept it the way it was.

Say what you want about the IMBA but for the past 3 years they've put out a superior calendar to PB in my humble opinion (can't believe I'm commenting on bike calendar preferences....)
  • + 2
I agree 100% but I just cancelled my membership.
  • + 6
I am pumped to have one of these finally, missed out the past few years. Digital calendars are great and all, but just because I can put any picture I want as my phone or computer background doesn't mean I don't want art on my walls. The more of that art that is MTB related the better Smile

I have two calendars in my office. One is Pinkbike and the other is guitar. The dates I occasionally look at. The pictures add to my office environment. I even pulled the march 2016 picture out and have that posted too. Thanks pinkbike, I appreciate the effort.

No shipping to New Zealand! What's with that? It's only one of the top mountain biking spots in the world..
  • + 9
you's are just too bloody far away Smile
  • + 35
by the time it arrives, you may not need it any more Smile
  • + 15
Hey @pablobell - a weird glitch! Try again - you should be good to go! We love New Zealand!
  • + 5
 $10 shipping?!?!?!
  • + 5
I'm thinking the same thing. It's a couple big pictures stapled together. How is shipping 50% of the cost of the calendar!!??
  • + 5
It's all based on dimensional sizes - take this up with Canada Post, but it's always been a struggle to ship calendars.
  • + 2
@brule: Maybe it's time to switch to a different shipping company then if it's always been a struggle? Or let the customer decide when they order which shipping company they want to use, many web stores have that option.
  • + 2
@brule: it's not a calendar..its just an a4 booklet. like the pb shirt quality, very disappointing
  • + 2
@Magion - unfortunately over here there are not that many choices and most are more costly.
  • + 1
@brule: Your back! Missed you brother..
  • + 1
@derTetris: Nope A4 doesn't exist this side of the Atlantic
  • + 1
Im in canada and did not get charged shipping ....... Yet?
Calendar has shipped.
  • + 1
So is this one of those things where once you factor in taxes and shipping charges, you'll end up paying over $40 for a calendar?
  • + 2
Do you give a spiral spine option? Makes a good rotating photo once you done with the calendar....??
  • + 1
Why does the week start with Sunday??
  • + 2
 What a stellar value
  • + 1
Love the Love this is getting
  • + 0
do I have to enter my card details before I can get to the shipping? and complete the order? I can't seem to find it
  • + 0
what is this paper thing you call calendar? Can I google share it with my pals?
  • + 1
When does the PinkE-bike version come out?
  • + 1
 That calendar WILL be electronic
  • + 1
 So much negativity out here.....
  • + 1
 I'd buy the Abi version.
  • - 2
lol, I always get tons of free calendars here in Dallas TX! (I guess is good for business or something)...Yep, were know for a great city to do business Smile
  • + 2
Lots of murders and crime in Dallas.
  • - 1
Hopefully there is some sick trail in place where the trees where cut down to make these
  • + 7
Forestry is a sustainable industry (should be anyway)

And those trees used to make this would have been planted and managed to one day be harvested, they never would have been there either way, so instead of hating on the forest industry be grateful to it, it's one of the few where they replant all the trews they use

From someone who works in the industry cc
  • + 2
@toad321: you know where I live right
  • + 3
@toad321: unlikely that anybody from western Canada with a basic understanding of their economy would be opposed to forestry.
