Say what you will but Orange certainly has an iconic design.... and for some reason I still expect to see Peaty running one

 Orange FTW!
  • 7 2
I remember watching a peatys video few years ago where he walked through garage and his white orange was really standing out from all his old bikes...

Monster truck of a machine. The only bike there that would start a conversation. Maybe harsh but the rest are meh.
  • 17 16
@yeti-monster: arguably the least interesting bike there. Every man and his dog has had one at some point

Let me guess the Uno didn't win. Maybe it is the skills and not the bike.

Never understood people's love for the Orange? To me it's like a throw back to a Foes from the 90's
  • 3 1
@panzer103: and the Foes Mono, those were class compared to current plastic shite and sessions
  • 3 0
@sam264: maybe in UK but over here they were more like unicorns and I surely love them for being different. defo not a session

I always sneered at Oranges. Dumb can crusher design, looks only a mother could loves, Porsche levels of design innovation, and pretty expensive for it.
but I noticed a few years ago a the Dyfi Enduro, there were two type of bikes there (give or take)

This-years-model-plastic-fantastic-multi-link-latest-tech bikes.
or
beaten up Orange fives.

Decided I had had enough in group 1, especially with a baby on the horizon so any time on the bike i wanted to be riding, not maintaining or cleaning or fixing, and bought a five29.

Now I totally get it..

@OllyR: don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of orange bikes, I've owned a few! I just don't think they're that interesting

You just know Deakin is shouting Oioi whilst his photos being taken
  • 3 0
that was my first thought too!

I whispered "Oi Oi" silently as i saw him!

 @garfunkel187: haha yup same here!!

29 riders? Subliminal message from PB always trying to push big wheels...
  • 1 0
Seemed to work OK on the course?
  • 1 0
@davechopoptions: so did the other wheel sizes, whats your point
  • 1 0
@stiingya: the fastest bike of the day was on big wheels. Pretty simple point.
  • 1 0
@davechopoptions: Well aright then, lets just rename the website pink29erbike and you can be happy...
  • 19 0
Fake news! Some of these riders are on 27.5.
  • 1 0

  • 5 0

  • 6 1

I have ridden a lot of those bikes and the Pivot Phoenix is my favorite. I wish I never sold it. I'm running an Intense M16c now and it's a close second. I will probably go back to the Pivot next season. Luckily I work at a local bike shop so I am fortunate enough to be able to buy bikes at cost and switch them up every season or so.
  • 1 2
 What's cost on a Phoenix?
  • 1 0
@Lokik9: I believe the carbon bike with a Zee build is $5200.
you should check out their website. Pivot is making some of the best bikes out there today. They make a Mach 429 trail bike that absolutely kills it as a do everything xc/trail bike.
  • 1 0
@DaveJube: no not website cost, what's shop cost (employee)?
  • 1 0
@Lokik9: I forget but it was about $3000. Most bike companies will sell bikes to shop employees cheaper than wholesale so that you can ride their bikes and tell everyone how great they are. So I am able to buy and sell bikes regularly and have a new bike every season or so. But it's my job to be able to give people real world feedback on the bikes that I sell.

The Orange bike resembles the average set of teeth in the UK....functional but not easy on the eyes.
  • 3 0
which bike do y’all think looks the meanest/most intimidating?
  • 9 1
No idea but that Fuzz does it for me.
  • 3 0
The one that looks like a Session
  • 10 0
The Orange. Looks old and gnarly.
  • 2 2
The Saracen and the Pivot by far
  • 3 1
The YT Tues looks like a stealth fighter, because of the solid lines and angles. That and it has a little Moto GP look with all that Kashima and the murdered out look to the fork and frame. The Unno bikes are too damn beautiful to be intimidating, but are definitely the most jaw dropping. The Commencal Supreme's look kind of like naval F14's with this years graphics and I love it, those and the Saracen's both have the overall aesthetics down the best as far as looking like race machines, imo.

 Retro cool orange!

  • 3 1
Best wishes to all, but GO Danny Hart !!!
  • 3 1
It seems like black is the new black.
  • 1 0
Jason Shill will be the best brand ambassador trek has ever known. Looks like a session.
  • 2 0
That Saracen looks timeless. Like it will never go out of style.
  • 1 0
 Thank you.
  • 2 2
You can neg prop me as you wish but that fugly looking Vitus has something very wrong with it's Geometry. It hearts my eyes and i don't know why
  • 1 1

  • 1 0
@Balgaroth: yeh pretty terrible all ive seen are vitus snapping
  • 1 0
@andydhteam: In Ireland where these are designed and tested you can see plenty of them all accross the country, some seriously old too, I am very surprised by what you say but maybe down under the gravity is harder on the bike !
  • 1 0
