40 Sends from the Fort William DH World Cup 2022

May 21, 2022
by Ed Spratt
The Fort William course isn't just rocks and tech with plenty of opportunities for riders to get airborne. While riders took their practice laps we hung out at the end of the motorway section to capture some of the biggest sends.

Well, if you look carefully, he's answering a call from his wife: "hey babe, no problem, I'll be home for diner... unless I case this big jump!"

Oooh great gotta love seeing ‘huge sends’ with 0 context as to how sendy the huge sends were.
  • 13 1
Just “guy in the sky” shots, no context.

The hand wobble blur from a too slow shutter speed is just the icing on the crud cake.

Biggest sends. Jumps for reference cropped out though?

I have never previously posted a negative comment on this site, but seriously PB editors, how on earth did this post pass your QC? To say that the shots are amateurish is to do a disservice to amateur photographers, just awful for so many reasons. The general quality of photos has slipped noticeably this year, but this is beyond scraping the barrel.

I think it is a writer with a camera, pushing something out, rather than waiting for the photo epic from the real photographers. Definitely not a good look.

I actually found it quite cool. A good way to analyse and to try replicate these moves. Also it's free content.

Nice to see a t-bog & seat grab in the mix..

How fuckin fun is this event. Crowd is already massive on a Saturday. And theres like a Crankworx level crowd down around the motorway hootin at each jump. So sick.

Blurry, zero context, zero composition, bad angle, poorly timed. Took loads of photos like these when I was first learning how to shoot, but not PB article material.

Downhill racing should alway include massive jumps. Make downhill racing send huge again.

What is this post.... bad photos taken from all the same bad angle with bad timing... referring to them as "sends"? Click harvesting at its worst and most cynical.
