Fort William 4X ProTour Qualifying - Fort William
Qualifying has just taken place here at Fort William in Scotland. Under blue skies, the track is incredibly dry and dusty which is making it tricky for all the riders. Loose rocks and technical jumps are certainly making the track tough for the riders and spectacular for the spectators.
First up in qualifying it was the women. The 2015 4X World Championships bronze medalist, German rider Steffi Marth took the fastest time ahead of Monet Adams and Hannah Escott.
In the men's, it was Czech rider Tomas Slavik who laid down the qualifying gauntlet ahead of teammate Felix Beckeman with Quentin Derbier in 3rd. British home crowd hopes will lie with Scott Beaumont and Alex Metcalfe who finished 4th and 5th respectively.
The race will take place after World Cup downhill qualifying tomorrow afternoon. The weather forecast is again set to be dry and sunny so we are expecting record crowds to line this amazing 4X track here in the Scottish highlands.
Full race report will be live after the finals. We can't wait to watch this one unfold.....

Trouble is, it just doesn't see the sponsorship of DH, I guess. I mean, look at that bloody logo. It's atrocious. Surely that's what's holding it all back?
