This weekend sees the final 4X ProTour of 2016 and what a weekend it promises to be. With 4X returning to France for the first time in many years, this is an exciting weekend for the sport.

Azur Bike Park Roquebrune-sur-Argens

The new Azur Bike Park in southern France will be the host for the 4X ProTour finals. Set just 5 minutes away from some of the finest beaches in southern France, the location is idyllic and we can't wait to get started there. With riders travelling from around the world now on route to the new venue, we will take a look at the favourites heading into Sunday's race.

The track is brand new and looks challenging for the riders. A loose rocky surface, big jumps, roots and trees, this track has a lot of features that will make this a unique track and challenge the world's best 4X Riders. In the women's it has been an amazing year for Britain's, Hannah Escott. With consistent rides all year she sits in the overall lead and it will be interesting to see if she can hold onto the points lead after the final. She has some tough opposition though. Helene Fruhwirth is back after a huge crash at 4X World Championships 3 weeks ago. She will start the weekend as the favourite for the race but will she be able to claw back enough points. Czech Republic rider, Michaela Berakova is also on the hunt for the overall title.

In the men's it is almost certain that Tomas Slavik will win the overall title. With a steady ride he will gain enough points to win but that is not Tomas style. He will be here ready to challenge for the win. Felix Beckeman was unlucky at the worlds recently with a flat tyre in the first round of racing. He will be back this weekend looking for redemption. Scott Beaumont is also in good form at the moment and will also be looking to take the win at this final round.

The schedule for the weekend starts on Saturday with official practice in the morning followed by qualifying in the afternoon. Then a rider presentation in the evening in front of the town before racing on Sunday.

Looks 4x enduro! Been a long time since I saw 4x but it always looked like a cross between a box and slopestyle course. Never seen trees and rocks like that, looks like a 2 line enduro course. Which is great.
