Ok, I'm in. But speaking for all of mountain biking they would have sold a ton more tickets had it been a tandem DH bike giveaway.
  • 27 2
I laughed at first, but then realized I wouldn't even read past the "Donate Now" button before throwing money at the screen.

@ssteve: E-bike? Never heard of her.

 @ssteve: stop right there
  • 26 0
 That's an Evil idea.

Would sell more tickets if it had a bottle cage.
  • 11 1
 @ssteve: you're going to hell
  • 5 2
It's got two seatposts, so at least it's a tandem.
  • 3 6
@ssteve: e-bikes cause cancer from the frequency of the motors. Stay away from them.

Can I hate cancer but take off the stickers?
  • 2 0
NO! You obviously have to leave the big yellow decal on the front wheel.
  • 1 0
You also have to leave the seat pointed up your ass and the tire logos in disarray. There's also no shift cable, so you can only ride WOT.
  • 1 0
"Who?! Who wants to remove the F*ck Cancer Stickers?!"
  • 1 0
@nuttypoolog: i thought there was no cable cause it was Di2? also i thought i saw you in my toilet earlier...hmm

I'm wreckoning I have zero chance of winning! However more than happy to put to this worthy cause in a hope of finding a cure to this Evil disease

@eldedo: it's not to cure laziness it's to cure cancer
  • 1 0
Trust me there is a cure for cancer out there.
  • 1 0
Well, there are 8 prizes total which puts the winning odds at 1 in 2,000, or, 1 in 666 if you donate $15. I like those Evil odds ;-)

Alright, since there appears to be some debate about research, funds, and how all of this works i'll break it down as I'm close to the gentleman who started fcancerup, and have helped with the last 2 campaigns, and brings everyone together to build this bike and raise money. My friend takes raised money and moves it all to young survivors coalition, whose mission is to provide awareness and support (be it direct, group, lobbying or legislative) to women diagnosed with breast cancer who are under 40. A group underserved within the current medical and support systems. FCANCERUP is merely the conduit for building the bikes, and getting raised money to YSC. plain and simple. This isnt some massive bloated org paying CEO's millions of dollars. This is a small grassroots group founded by 3 survivors didnt see themselves represented in traditional cancer support networks.

Their 501c status, and financial records are all available on charity navigator ( www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=8540 )

So, with all of that, can we kill the BS back and forth about what cancer is, how its caused and all the reasons research is a lie. Know that funds go directly to helping you sister, daughters dads and mom move forward during the fight of their lives and beyond
  • 9 0
Well said ! But the earth is still flat and on a collision course with niribithia?
  • 3 0
I wish we could get awareness for more than just breast cancer. I'm all for what this is and what it supports. Great idea and good on you and those three very strong, very brave women, and all those involved. My brother has had a brain tumor since he was three. I never see anything spring any other kind of cancer, just pink ribbons everywhere. At a certain point it's hard not to resent how marketed it is while other concerns seemingly get ignored. I hope those three women are alright. Thank you again for what you're doing
  • 6 0
@justincs: the Earth is only flat in Florida the rest of the country has nice elevation.
  • 1 0
@LoganKM1982: Maybe statistically a lot more people get breast cancer per year and maybe it's much easier to test for. A part of the message with these things is always to go get tested.

I'm so sorry for the condition of your brother, but maybe you could start a grassroots effort yourself?

Maybe a stupid question, but: Do I have to click the "I want to receive communications from..." button in order to be contacted? Or will they get my information through paypal?
  • 1 0
Is PayPal payment possible ? Cause I have neither of this cards ????
  • 1 0
 @demisth: yes it is.
  • 2 0
@Rob-J: How?? I didn’t see any way to pay with PayPal.
  • 13 0
Thanks to all the generous sponsors for their contribution to a great cause. Good luck everyone.

that is literally my dream build on my dream frame. and its pink! and i f*ckin hate cancer! donated!!
  • 19 6
I was unaware PRO components were on any body's dream bike but to each their own.
  • 2 1
@adrennan: I looked up what PRO was slang for on Urbandictionary.com, were you going with "prostitute"? I couldn't figure out which definition you're using.
  • 4 0
@Kramz: PRO are Shimano's components range.

"Prostitute" hahhaha
  • 1 0
@adrennan: I mean free components are better than no components. I was more referring to drivetrain and suspension.

3 deaths in my aquaintances in the last year due to cancer. Donated without even thinking!
  • 4 0
Donated but then got an error going back to original page from the 'thanks this window will now close' but didn't close so I did it and then got error about not completing. Great cause so keep the cash even if I didn't get entered!!
  • 3 0
I had the same error. Donated
  • 2 0
I got the same error. The donation worked though.

hoping for a bit of bday luck, but whatever about the bike mines pretty fun already. more importantly fuck cancer.
  • 3 0
I love the bike and the lottery seems like a good way of raising money. But in Europe I've never heard of this foundation YSC. I'm always careful to whom I donate money since some foundations sometimes have shady backgrounds.
  • 3 0
 Not so random facts...

Based on last year there is a 1:16,000 chance of winning.

52 percent of people diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer live for at least five years after diagnosis. The five-year survival rate for people diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer that has spread (metastasized) to other areas of the body is 4 percent.

Donate and help beat cancer!
  • 2 0
This fundraiser is awesome! But breast cancer has all of the good fund raisers. Literally hundreds. My mother in law is fighting stage four pancreatic cancer. We are finding out that this terrible cancer with a 6% survival rate has very little funding for research. It's not given the same media attention or funding by a long shot.
Who do I need to talk to so we can get a fundraiser like this going for pancreatic cancer research?
  • 2 0
 Glad I donated, great cause.

I have a question regarding the raffle entry. Was I entered if I received an email saying "Please retain this letter for income tax purposes. Young Survival Coalition is a tax exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; EIN 13-4057685. No goods or services were received in exchange for your generous gift of $XX. made on 10/15/2017 ."?

To be best of my knowledge raffle tickets are not eligible for donation receipts, and since I'm Canadian I can't benefit from an US registered charitable donation.

ALL OF YOU CARM YOUR ARSES DOWN. ITS FOR A GOOD THING AND A GREAT SPEC BIKE. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT GO PUT YOUR MONEY DOWN ON A PINT AND SEE YOUR RETURN ON THAT. IT WONT HELP ANYONE AND YIU GET FUCK ALL BUT A BAD HEAD FROM IT.
  • 12 0
True. Never started typing fully in caps lock after having a pint though.
  • 1 0
 @bonkywonky:
Also, the one word that would have benefited from being typed in full caps he actually wrote in lower case..

A paradox? Irony? An oxymoron perhaps?

My likelihood of winning any of these is looking to be less than the chance a citizen of the mighty USA's vote is to decide a president, but totally worth it...even if this doesn't have the same potential nuclear outcome. Anyways - way to go Evil, Pinkbike, and fcancerup.com for bringing the community together to support a solid cause!
  • 1 0
@golden-g: except this cause goes to primarily young women and their families fighting breast cancer. Not to research, curing or ending cancer. The fact that you guys get so blinded by your opinions that you fail to see who and how raising money here benefits people fighting for their lives reminds us all how shallow, self absorbed and stupid we can be.
  • 2 1
Donating with no real hopes of winning this incredible prize, hoping for a cure to this shit disease is enough motivation! Cancer can go f*ck itself! (I apologize for my language)
  • 3 1
I feel like the winner should put it "on sale" again to raise money again... and the next one... so that the bike has a real purpose!
  • 2 1
I already have a Wreckoning. My bid, other than to support a good cause is to score one of those Gopros. How about you just send me the Gopro now and improve the chances for everyone else?
  • 1 0
Does Sam Hill still race in pink gear to be auctioned? He used to do that in Fort William back when he was competing in WC DH racing.

Cool bike, even comes with two seatposts. Even better cause.

Want to beat cancer we got to beat the system that is keeping us down. Teflon from non stick pans and BPA's in our water. GMO crops that are sprayed with cancer causing round up. Even good old wood smoke more cancerous than cars because trees are such great toxin filters. We can never beat cancer but we can beat the system Stop buying paper plates anything from Lilly Killer Monsanto or any company that profits from death. Then run out and get a Tesla(if you can afford it) and go off the grid with their solar roof package.

Lol I'm too woke to even see that the earth is a flat hollow sphere riding on the back of a space turtle

When is the draw happening? Can't find a date anywhere.

On their fb page they said within a week from the end of the raffle, but it seems like they had some delays. Would be suprising if it takes more than a week more.

There is a known cure for cancer... it’s a plant based, whole food diet.
Not advertised because drugs are such a money maker. Also not advertised because the meat ‘Protien’ industry owns the drug companies.
Proven facts. Do the research for yourself.
My aunt had cancer, went on plant only based whole food diet and is cancer free. No drugs.
-no lies. Swear on my life!
The fats in all animal based products is also what causes diabetes. The fats essentially clog our cell walls preventing sugars and other nutrients from being processed properly, thus causing diabetes. Type I is a little harder to explain. Some other time.

But hey, $5 to not win one of these amazing prizes? I’ll do it for the rush.

How did I get downvoted to the below threshold comments? Sharing good news that there is a known cure for cancer? The first hand experience of a family member not being another statistic?
Phfft. Geeze guys!

What are your credentials and where can I find your peer-reviewed research? This is groundbreaking! Let me guess - big pharma isn't letting this get out, right?

I hope you're able to join the rest of us in reality at some point.
