PRESS RELEASE: The Free Radicals

This is a rare opportunity to get your hands on a custom painted Soil Searching Specialized Enduro. Very few of these bikes exist, and they can only be obtained through supporting trail advocacy initiatives or being recruited as a Global Ambassador. Soil Searching is a movement to recognize, celebrate and support trail builders and trail organizations who help shape our sport and our stoke.

All proceeds from this campaign will go to funding trail building/maintenance and will be split evenly between 5 trail advocacy organizations across British Columbia, Canada: Whistler Off Road Cycling Association, Columbia Valley Cycling Society, Bridge River Valley Community Association, Cowichan Trails Stewardship Society and Smithers Mountain Bike Association.

How it works

Each $5 donation gets you ONE entry to win, and UNLIMITED entries are allowed! All proceeds from this campaign will go towards trail building and maintenance across the province of British Columbia.

For every $5 donation, you will get a chance to win this bike! The more you donate, the better your chances of winning. This opportunity is open worldwide and ends on February 23, 2021 at 23:59PST. Winner will be drawn at random on February 25, 2021.

The winner is responsible for their country's duties on receipt.

In British Columbia, the economic shockwave of the ongoing global pandemic has stripped many trail building and advocacy organizations of their main sources of funding. At this time, trail use and mountain biking are experiencing unprecedented growth and associations are struggling to keep up with the consequences of increased users, so we figure it is the opportune moment to host a fundraiser and help five trail associations in need. Mountain biking has provided us with some of our fondest memories and greatest friends, but without trails, none of this would have been possible. Our lives have been transformed by trails. If you've had a similar experience, or just want a chance to win a sweet bike, please donate now!

We want to give a special thanks to Specialized Soil Searching, RockShox, Chromag and RideWrap for helping with this initiative. Support brands who support trails!

This is amazing. Thanks so much to the Free Radicals and Specialized for understanding how challenging 2021 is going to be for Trail Org's in BC. Less traditional funding, more people out riding, more bikes sold within the industry, e-bikes adding additional laps per ride, and lower membership sales due to people's personal finances during Covid. Stuff like this is a real boost.

Thanks for thinking of the northern crew up in Smithers! Really appreciated my short time building and riding with you guys during your visit this summer. Your work and commitment to being good mountain bike citizens and even better riders is admirable! Hopefully you pick my name now... Wink

Beauty bike and a great way to raise money for trails that are getting overused and underfunded thanks to the double-edged sword of Covid.
