Fuerteventura from Michael Wilcox at Top Button Productions
Same as many other riders and their fellow photographers and cinematographers, we sought refuge from a harsh winter back in the UK and ended up somewhere isolated on a strange island forgotten by God, where there are more goats than people. We knew very little about this place, actually, it was Blake who mentioned the name 'Fuerteventura' to us for the first time. He spent a brief holiday on the island and noticed that there was some virgin dirt to shred.
I might be wrong, but something tells me that we were the first ones to visit to Fuerteventura to ride mountain bikes the way we have. There are no trails apart from goat paths, not to mention any kind of a bike park. We had to scope and build everything on our own. It all sounded like a crazy plan to begin with, but as soon as we found out that Fuerteventura is also known as 'Forte Aventure' which in French means 'Great Adventure' we knew it was on.
Follow the journey of Blake Samson, his brother Ray and Harry Steele by watching an epic edit from Mike Wilcox which he cut especially for this occasion, and a fully extended set of best photographs taken by me.
