  • 32 2
rampage was on canadian thanksgiving, i still watched it live, i'm sure you americans can figure it out.
  • 7 1
It's really short! Like 35 mins without credits... They had to time fill at the premiere in London by showing all the 'making of's first.. Shouldn't interfere much!

I am very thankful for this. Football can go to hell.

Atleast we finally know when 'arrival' will be arriving.

Its funny how only in america they celebrate "Black Friday" (a day which is dedicated to going out and buying useless stuff) the day after Thanksgiving (a day dedicated to being thankfull for what you have)...interesting.

@c-bass50 haha I never thought of it that way. But Black Friday is actually really fun....everything is really cheap, and you get to stay up past your bedtime too....lol but seriously Black Friday is pretty awesome.

All you americans with your late thanks givings can be thankful for bikesSmile

C-Bass50 - Best comment I've heard in awhile. Don't worry though the USA will be something someday when our government gets their heads out of their A$$!

Hold on. There is no "official" black friday that is celebrated in America. How you're not aware of this is... well kind of surprising. The day after thanksgiving retailers start the holiday buying season leading up to Christmas, a holiday celebrated in a lot more places than just the US. They're not buying useless stuff, they're buying gifts for others (you don't buy gifts for family or friends? Strange....). It's intelligent to do so given the fact things are going to be so cheap that day in particular. So you buy gifts for the holidays for people you care about, and you save money.

Did you really think that it was some kind of government sanctioned or religious holiday? You can't be serious. You do realize that a lot of countries have big shopping days that "kick off" the holiday buying season right? It's not just a US phenomenon.

Sorry to interrupt the circle jerk.

Because I'm using logic and facts? What's sad is people act like what he's saying is true. The ignorance put on display on this site is truly astounding sometimes. I'm glad I don't profile people based on where they live and instead let their actions speak for themselves. I won't stop you from doing that though.

do you honestly think everyone trampling people down on black friday to get the cheapest deals is buying gifts for others? and there you are talking down to people again..
  • 6 8
wut does profile ppl based on where they live mean?... canada? you guys are practically from the same place only you're 17 trillion dollars in debt and obese.... hows that for profiling
  • 4 2
Josh090 - that is just mean to say that but it's not like I'm going to say F off cause it's so true lol Sadly to say but don't be surprised if u see us in a civil war in the next 10yrs

hey colincolin, ill take the day off of work any day!

So I'm pretty drunk right meow so. I thot I would put in my 3 sense. Not everything has to be about how merica sucks an how muh of a money hole were in. We all ride bicycles and love it so fuck all hthis nationalism shit. Now I'm gonna have another beer ok bye
  • 1 0
You all need to stop country bashing...if you live in a FREE country WITH mountains, you live in a great country.
  • 1 1
@zalgrath, i know i wus just making fun of cyrix' comment about judging ppl based on where they live
  • 5 5
Why? Are you just trying to be a jerk? I said what I said because the person I was responding to was generalizing an entire country of people with some made up bullshit. Knowing the context of the entire discussion stops you from ASSuming things.
  • 4 5
will you guys just drop it already? i'm sick of seeing things pop up on my dash and then getting bummed out cuz it's just you getting in this stupid argument. @cyrix, if you honestly believe that you're in that rare percentile of people who are (self) righteous enough to go out on black friday and buy stuff for other people, then good on you! but we'll just say the news stories that make their way up to canada usually reflect death by trampling in black friday door crasher events. don't know many people willing to risk death to buy cheap things for other people.. you can call me just about anything but ignorant isn't one of them. the long and short of it is, this is gonna be a dope movie and i'm sure we can all enjoy it whether we're celebrating thanksgiving next weekend or not.
  • 6 4
How is buying gifts for people self righteous? Do you hear yourself? Holy shit....
  • 4 0
Guys..I thought this site was supposed to be for everyone around the world who share a love of cycling?...not a nationalistic chat lobby..who cares where you live, just go ride your bike.
  • 3 1
Just my two cents, but cyrix is the most Canadian sounding American I have seen post on here. lol Lame conversation in general.
  • 4 1
 Wow i started ww3...

flag joeyjd (Nov 22, 2013 at 13:39) (Below Threshold)
hahah self righteous because you feel the need to tell everyone about it, and act condescending towards people who just admit they're in it for the deals... so bikes eh?
  • 4 0
What the hell is going on in here.
  • 5 3
I never did any of that joeyjd. But who am I kidding, you're a person hell bent on throwing a tantrum over a shopping day and using that to try to vilify an entire country of people. Classy.
  • 1 4
i get it. you're offended. for the record, i never said anything about your country, and i'd hardly call my comments a tantrum. but if you want to take it that way then i'll just let you have it. you win cyrix. your horse is not as high as i claimed (although in your original comment you have to admit you sounded like a total dick, implying that people don't know about christmas, or that anyone thought black friday could have been a religious holiday, please). we cool?

NOW BACK TO RIDING! Wink
  • 4 1
How can you be 25 Mick? I've never seen a 25 year old act like that. PS: It's a public open forum sweet heart, where discussion is SUPPOSED to take place. Just because you have an issue with it doesn't mean everyone has to do what you want just because you're self entitled, now you can deal with it and move on, or keep throwing a childish fit, either way I don't care champ.

Useless piece of info for all:

Black Friday: An accounting reference which states the day of the year that merchandizing companies go from the "Red" to the "Black". So all earnings from that date forward to the end of the year will be profit. So at any discounted rate any revenue is all profit.

I am sure it isn't exactly accurate for all retailers but that is what started it.
  • 1 4
you dont have to know how, it just is. idiot lol

So you tell other people to stop posting garbage, yet that's what you keep posting.

What is wrong with you?

Got to see it in Portland last week and really enjoyed. Stoked for this film and will purchase when released on iTunes as I like support MTB films. I will note, glad to have seen all of the making of's prior to seeing the film and felt like something would be missing without having seen them, especially the abrupt ending of M miles section crashing on the last jumps. Thought the S Smith section was a bit slow, as in used to watching Stevie just hammer down and although great to see what they did and versatility of the Rio dig, kind of missed getting to see more top to bottom high speed Stevie ala Inside Out or Follow Me.

Is it just me or is it wrong to complain about Thanksgiving getting in the way of watching this film? Spending time with family is a lot more important.

I mean, you could do both. Watch the film while the foods being cooked. Hangout with family members and such. This film isn't 24 hours long. Thanks giving is about being thankful right? Wait till you sit down at the dinner table under that roof that shelters you from the rain. Wait till you sleep in that comfortable bed and get a good nights sleep after eating all that yummy food that you probably didn't make.

Remember there are people who can't afford that stuff. Who are homeless or don't have a family to begin with.

(sorry for my rant.)
  • 6 1
I agree with you, but I think most of the people here are just joking (at least, I hope they are). I do agree with your idea of Thanksgiving but frankly I thing we should do that everyday. We should always be thankful. We should always have a day in the week where family gathers and eats a great meal. My 2c

@Alex: yeah, I'm sure they were light hearted and didn't really mean it. At least I hope. I guess I read and commented too quickly. After seeing all the people in the Philippines who have lost loved ones and are separated it just got me a little hot under the collar.
