As I mentioned in my own blog: kakikoredgrana.blogspot.com, July is the season for Alaska DH riders.

July is when most of the trails are not muddy or full of snow and the bike park opens. So if you "only-ride-park" you have the time to enjoy every weekend the park that is in Girdwood Alaska.

Alyeska Resort using a photo of Simon Evans that he took me riding. I m not receiving any money from this but a moment of fame.

For third year in a row, this year they have new trails and features. From beginners to pro's. You can enjoy the DH in the Northest Rain Forest in the world, which brings you up to ride "sick-alpine-lines" at almost sea level, because is Alaska.

1st Alyeska Cup

The park is running this year the first Race cup, which is about a 3 races. The last weekend of July, August and September, will be a friendly race. Counting the time and the fun you have. Inscription to the races is the same as the lift ticket, $25 USD. Yeah, $25 full day.

1st Alyeska Cup

The first race was a lot of fun and it was good to see familiar faces, but a lot of new faces. The small community is growing up. I made this video from the first race:

Cheers up for Alaska DH community!
