Video: All Day Every Day
The enduro format of racing has ignited the mountain bike scene and injected new life into everyday riding. The wide appeal is that it pitches a diverse variety of racers and trails together and places an emphasis on all round ability. With ‘All Day Every Day’ we wanted to create a film than took the ethos of enduro but placed it away from the race tracks and instead into an all day adventure. It’s a film about exploration and hunting out new trails. Finding descents in which there is only one uplift.

Filming and photographing this film was an epic adventure in itself requiring many miles of hiking into the wilderness even before the camera was rolling. What was found though were great trails, awesome scenery and a chance to ride far and fast.
As the expression goes: Put two people on bikes and it’s a race. Whether that’s going down or up.
Morvélo's aim with the Enduro range is to create a class leading base product and then constantly refresh it with new sublimated designs to keep things fresh, varied and creative.
The nature of filming is that it quite often requires lots of takes. We don’t think Harry and Matt minded with such sweet trails to ride.

| The constantly shifting colours of the landscape were inspirational. Nico Turner was making sure not to miss anything that may be interesting up high in the sky... |

| The filming locations took us to some great fast flowing woodland sections of Whinlatter Forest. |

| The woodland singletrack was also fast on the climbs. |

| The rich contrast in tones and colours meant we had lots more shots of nature than we initially imagined. In gaps between the woodland shots we couldn't help marvel at the abundance of mushrooms. |

| The mix of colours hidden away was ever changing. |
 |
| Looking at the density of the canopy gives you some indication of how dark it was in the woods. |

| Moments of intensive action were often followed by moments of no action as Nico and Simon set up another angle. |
 |
| Back on the track! In amongst the darkness some awesome berms helped us keep the speed up. |
 |

| As a complete opposite to the enclosed woodland sections we also ventured up onto the peaks. |

| The flow of the trails really encouraged an attacking riding style. |
 |

| Accessing the long downhills often required climbing some steep slopes. |
 |

| We spent most of the time filming well away anyone else. |
 |
 |
| Memorial for all those lost inner tubes... |
 |

| You couldn't help be taken aback by the majestic backdrops with atmospheric clouds and forests. Whether you looked up close or out in the distance The Lakes provide a constant source of amazement. |

| Even on some of the more natural trails we found great sections to pump and jump. |
 |
 |
| Hiking, riding and exploring can make you tired, so having a rest is much needed. |
 |

| The hard-pack trails meant some serious speed could be taken into the corners. |
 |

| No matter how old you get, messing around with puddles is always fun. |

| All you could hear on these quite forest tracks was the rumble of tyres. |

| We also found some awesome abandoned buildings out on the hillside. |

| Blissful morning... The second day of our trip couldn't have started any better. |
 |

| With new products like these getting dedicated detail shots of the jerseys and bikes is vital. |

| Even when nearing the towns you could still feel away from it all. |
 |
| During our travels we were constantly rewarded with stunning vistas. |
 |

| Even the lunch break was surrounded by stunning scenery. |
 |

| Many of the trails had big rock gardens, even on the climbs. |
 |
| The benefit for Nico the filmmaker and Simon the photographer is that sometimes they get a better view than the riders do. |
 |

| You really get a sense that things have been out here for a long time. |
 |
| Racing down hills alongside waterfalls and rock pools is just one of the many rewards of an all day adventure. |

| Even out on the hills there were still some excellent shoreline trails to be found. |
 |
| Close and fast riding was key to making sure we could get both riders in the frame. |
 |
| Be nice to elderly walkers. |
 |
 |
| To get some of the shots we needed, Nico had to force himself into some pretty tight spaces. Sometimes you have to admit that the best way to the top is by foot. |
 |

| There is amazing riding to be had around The Lakes and also some great locations for relaxing. Most definitely this was Harry's most favourite time of the whole photoshoot... |

| The struggles to the top of the hills are more often than not rewarded with great views and awesome downhills. |
 |
| We found gold on the other side of the mountain... Nan Bield Pass looking onto Kentmere reservoir is truly a stunning place to ride. |
 |

| A great example of some of the steep, twisty and technical trails that were in abundance. |
 |
| We also found many loose flat rocks, perfect for drifting. |
 |
 |
| Often we felt like tiny specks on a giant landscape. |
 |
| Outside of the woodland it was rocks everywhere. |
 |

| Even when filming we still took the occasional moment to take it all in. |
 |

| The alu Kinesis FF29 was the other bike of choice. Designed for fast and aggressive trail riding. |

I think this is quite possibly the most epic and ambitious photo report ever.
The word 'Enduro' is becoming the new 'YOLO', irritating as f%%%%
Whinlatter is a decent enough trail centre (and would be pretty awesome elsewhere in the country), but it's by far outclassed by the natural riding that surrounds it.
Just asking...

What the heck is enduro? I only ride park...
- lots of walking so when they ride it looks fast
- lots of out of focus shots and close-ups
- and lots od pictures in the article where the video should have been in the front
