Before I head off to join the army I wanted to create a high end riding video. With the help of Pilo CNC (bicycle parts manufacturer) and Tai Rona (local rider that just returned from 18 months in Canada), I was able to make it happen.

We wanted to showcase DH riding here in Israel as it's alive and kicking and we want the local and global communities to know this. We have excellent tracks, impressive landscape and a high level of riders over here. Thanks to Pilo, our goal was successfully realize, and we managed to shoot a new and unique 4:30 minutes long clip, that we truly hope you will enjoy and maybe motivate you to give us some help, understanding our situation, and join us for great rides here, in our country.

 yeah. in Israel, i hear their having some issues over there....on another note I need those purple rims

 actually it is not sad. in Israel, all 18 year old go to the army, men and females. its kinda like going to college for us here in the US. A large majority do not see any action besides border partrol and use it as a opportunity for education.

 @blank-fire, well not exactly. There's mandatory military service and in addition, national service which is voluntarily.

 Sad? I think the world would be a better place if more countries actually had a mandatory service for a few years. And by the sounds of this article he has chosen the military as his career, far from sad really.

 An Israeli soldier was stabbed to death on board a bus by a Palestinian teenager today. Serving your country is good and Israel has a really strong military for such a small country (they straight up owned Egypt in the six day war) but every country that surrounds Israel wants to wipe them off the face of the earth.

 I love seeing edits like this from all over the world. It's amazing and awesome to see that no matter where you are from, we all share this same culture and passion. Those woods could easily be my woods. It makes the planet feel so big and so small all at the same time.

 the country is divided into 3 different climates so yes, ofc we have winter and even snow in the upper sections (northern areas).

 Iif you really want to visit Israel you can do so even today! as Israel and Jordan have an open boarder for tourism.

 You can come and ride those trails any time! i have been in jordan 3 years ago and there is no problem crossing the border,,

 I’ve been riding in Israel last year.... miss it a lot!
Traveling advice: clip your bike shoes to the pedals when transporting your bike. Or better come with flat-pedals.
Having to explain these "metal-plates" in my shoes at the crazy airport security was a weird and very time-consuming experience Wink

 @dThass before you start. Would a girl be safe riding in Palestine? Would somebody of the wrong religion be safe? Because if so, Palestine and the surrounding nations have got to get the word out; "Ride mid east nations; it's safe!". And I have no favoritism toward Isreal, but I know I can travel there and be welcome/safe. If you want to make a case for yourself, open the doors to tourism in the Islamic heartland.

 pardon my american ignorance but are there bike shops in Isreal that carry dh bikes and gear? or does it all have to be purchased online?

 There are a lot of dh bikes in the shops here gt Rocky Mountain giant more wood and more

 there are loads of shops and we can get pretty most of the bands here. mtb is super popular in israel

 the mtb seance is one of the larger home\free time sport developed in israel
that brings every brand that exist out there ....

 Actually, Israel is put on the same latitude as southern California (LA area) so yes, the northern landscapes of Israel have great resemblance. The highest peak we have is 2000m and the dh scene uses that a lot now. Smile
