I am so amazed with the riding, and in the snow he ripped on a trail that you couldn't see just like if it was there it only needed a good song and it would be even better
I think the right music has to fit the mood of the video, so playing some rock or techno music really wouldn't achieve the message that Dan was trying to get across. I think the music fit this video to a tee.
Although Canada has most of the best trails in the entire world, this video reminds me how lucky some of us are to live in an area where the comfortable biking season is all year 'round for us. I kinda feel spoiled for the weather, but yet I long to be able to call trails like the ones Dylan hits "the home trails". This video is sort of a mix of emotions for me, and the music only makes it even more incredible. Great video and great riding! And epic spew at 00:38
i rode my bike in pretty much the same conditions of snow last week-end. It's now over until april...there is always a transition month or two between bike and board. it's a dark time >
This is totally a candidate for Video of the Year! Simply amazing. No excessive tricking. No dumb poppy music track. Simple. Elegant. Smooth. Great camera work, stellar editing. Definitely one of my favs.
Only because anything North of the border is not Britain in people from down souths book.
A couple of winters ago we lost over 4 months with the white stuff.
Nice vid though.
And.... as you guys get ready for your winter, its still a nice 20 degrees Celcius here in Australia. But we don't have trails to the extent that you guys do. I wonder if its because you get so much more stoked for the snow to clear so you can ride again, and you never take it for granted? I know i wont be... Mad props for a sick vid.
I have a lot of favorite videos on Pinkbike but this one became the number one. Life Cycles was the last movie where I had this special feeling and made me think about time, life, seasons and many more things and now I feel the same so thanks for sharing this fine piece of art!
Easily my favourite video. I've just started reading life in the loops and Dylan is becoming one of my favourite riders. He reminds me of myself and how I feel about riding. This video also makes me want to watch Drive again lol some of you will understand.
I really enjoyed this short film (I think it's not a video) A really simple story with well thought out shots. I like the humbleness of the video instead of the standard heroic bikemovies with the sentimental bullshit talk about life on the bike bla bla. You just showed us the same but with room for the viewers own interpretation. VOD in my opinion.
awesome video, got me stoked for today's uplift! lucky for us in the UK, we don't get proper un-rideable winters, it just gets sloppier than a hooker's chuff! (which in reality, isn't much different from the summer we just had anyway, just a bit colder...)
Awesome stuff Dan! We've reposted it everywhere Loving Shred-hard's ski-slalom inspired riding style in this and needless to say you've shot it beautifully throughout.
This is really good $hit, I mean really really good! What does it for me is the feeling of purity throughout, from the riding, editing to soundtrack. Beautiful.
Great video and great riding!
