10th Annual Alberta Freeride Awards

It’s about that time of the year again when we’re gearing up for the 10th Annual Alberta Freeride Awards. For the 2011 AFA’s we are changing things up a bit… The lead up to the AFA’s will happen online - from the nominations, to the voting and finally the results! But this year in conjunction with MMBTS we’re combining a day of riding with the awards ceremony at Moose Mountain. This province continues to produce some seriously talented DH, Freeride, Dirt Jumpers and Trailbuilders that will be acknowledged and recognized by the AFA’s.

The 2011 Season is almost in the books… and we’re back yet again to honor those riders, racers and builders who really deserve it. We’ve seen a little bit of everything during ‘11 - from a late start thanks to Mother Nature and on a positive note, thanks to MMMBTS, lots of new trails being built and old ones being revived in addition to local races and trail days that saw great turn outs and plenty of support. It seemed as though no matter what was going on in this crazy world of ours - the Albertans rode the heck out of their bikes!

Nominations start now and continue until September 15th and voting begins September 15th and goes until October 1st.

You can nominate and vote by going to www.albertafreerideawards.com.

The awards are for ALL Alberta riders I'm pretty sure. If you know anybody who should be nominated from anywhere in Alberta then go for it!

anyone from alberta can win, but traditionally only Calgary area homeboys are picked due to the awards being a giant popularity contest among calgarians... hahaa.

Ya why do they even joke about naming it the alberta freeride awards, has anyone north of Airdrie ever won? Cool awards but change the name to what it really is.
