The White Style 2014 champs, Bizet, Rogatkin and Thelander.

After a two week weather delay, come no-snow crisis, the small mountain village of Leogang was finally illuminated by the 9th annual Whitestyle event in the characteristic blinding surge of strobe lighting. Blue skies topped jagged peaks all afternoon as the 20 invited riders saw how far they could push it without feeling their fingers, before the sun dipped and the floodlights took over for the main event.

In the end it was Antoine Bizet who painted the night sky red, white and blue for team France, stomping a formidable run that concluded with the super casual, inch-perfect double-flip that has become his calling card. Bostonian youngster and BMX maestro, Nicholai Rogatkin took second signing off with a cashroll and first place qualifier, Anton Thelander, greased his way to third with an oppo flip-whip on the final kicker.

Despite a fairly low-key year on the guest list front, the course builders did everyone proud against the odds and the event went like a well waxed ski through powder. The crowds were as big or bigger than they've ever been and the riders certainly did not disappoint, throwing down extra hard all day long. Look out for the full report on it's way very soon.

Whitestyle has inspired me to build a massive jump out of snow in my front yard and learn some tricks to cope with the winter blues. It works great except all my neighbors think I have a few loose screws if you know what I mean... one guy walked by with his dog, took one look at me without saying anything, then yelled at his dog to walk faster lol

The guy was just mad somebody figured out how to have fun while he was miserable walking the dog

Smallest set up since years ; smallest prize money (2011 winner got 3.000€ (Reynolds) ; 2.500 in 2012 (Pavel) ; 1.500 for 2013)
it seems crisis finally hitted Austria and Germany...

In my opinion Nicoli is a top rider, haha. At joyride he did a longdart fronty into a cashroll JUST FOR THE CROWD before the main event. And he won bmx worlds for dirt and probobly has a bigger trick bag than all the other mtb riders

The event was postponed 2 weeks, and most of the riders have a pretty tight schedule already (Reynolds and Pilgrim are in South Africa) or are still healing up (Martin Söderström, Clemenz Caudela...)
On the other hand, the tricklevel was pretty impressive, we have seen almost every trick you can imagine. (3Whips, Flipwhips, Trucks, Flipbars, Doubleflips, Decades, Frontflip Tucks)
Shout out to all the riders !
