Australian National Series: The Final Round - Toowoomba 2015

by Ben Stevens
The final round of the Australian National Series being held in Toowoomba’s Jubilee Park tied in with the Oceania Championships happening all in the same week. Already having raced on Friday in the Oceania Championships many interstate riders were getting a good feel for this classic little downhill trail before the weekend hit and the national round got under way. The weekend’s weather was set to be scorching, drying the track out to almost tarmac through some sections, giving local hero Graves the chance to set it on fire and go under 2min40s in his seeding run and leaving him in the top spot going into race day.

With increased numbers and constant heat, the trail on race day was cracking up blowing out and turning into a bit of a dust bowl. This saw riders having to take new options though the morning’s practice, hoping the lines held out for their race run.

Does Yeti even need a dedicated DH bike? The guys seem to be doing fine on the dual crown equipped SB6C.
