BC Cup Silver Star Pictures

The race is over, results are in and plans are starting to veer towards the next race or trip. But wait, it's time to re-live the BC Cup Championships from Silver Star one last time.



As racers filed in throughout the week and into the weekend a plume of dust filled the sky. Unlike last year, we were not blessed with a tacky track, instead it was dry and loose. Dag's DH was constantly changing with a few big holes, moto ruts and overall just getting rough. It was starting to look like any modern day course. By the end of the weekend you would be hard pressed to find a clean face, but behind the dust you could always see those pearly whites shining through. A good time was had by all and the Kovarik Duo came out on top.

I have heard a quote before "Never compete against a kid or animal, you will always lose", Finn earned this one though!

Signs, lots of signs. Best sign took home a backpack full of swag.

Even the DH kids were taking a moment to check out the new carbon Sight. Norco was displaying some of their new 2014 bikes for the first time.

Staying on line and missing the sharp edge rocks was a big part of this track.

Big thanks to the volunteers, racers, parents, race organizers, Silver Star and all others involved to make this happen. Next year is already in the plans and it can only get better!
