3 Minute Gaps is coming out in June, take a look at the first teasers released today on Pinkbike featuring Fairclough, Reid and Lehikoinen.
Clay Porter Productions is proud to announce it’s latest film 3 Minute Gaps. Shortly after finishing his last film The Tipping Point in the Spring of 2009, director Clay Porter decided to abandon his one year downhill race documentary timeline, to focus on something new and better. During this time, 3 Minute Gaps was born. Shot over the course of two years, 3 Minute Gaps is a performance-based documentary about the new school generations of downhill mountain bike racers.
3MG is a truly global project traveling to Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Europe, Canada, The United States and beyond. 3MG shadows the sport’s elite to intimately illustrate the behind-the-scenes, inner workings of today’s new guard of gravity racing and will continue the Clay Porter Productions heritage, which has documented more World Cup racing than any other film crew in the history of the sport.
Leading up the film’s release, Clay Porter Productions will release a making of webisode for each featured rider in the film. These will be featured on the projects media partner, Pinkbike.com for the first 48 hours of release, then be available to all other media outlets after. “For the website launch you’ll see the Behind The Scenes webisodes for Matti Lehikoinen and Ben Reid. Additionally, we’ve cut together a special Brendan Fairclough Teaser for the website launch and film announcement” explains Porter.
