The Blueprint Canadian Enduro Development team is a joint project between the Canadian National Enduro Series and Coach Joel Harwood (Blueprint Athlete Development). This unique partnership allows athletes many opportunities to contribute to their long-term development as an athlete, and to ensure that these bright-young-stars become active members of the cycling community (many already are!). We'd like to take this opportunity to introduce our team, you'll likely bump into them at a gym, trail or chocolate milk aisle near you, as they've already been putting in countless hours in preparation for this season.

About the Team

The selection criteria of the team is mixed; we chose ten athletes based on results in regional, national and international races, the other four athletes are chosen subjectively on the basis of results, dedication to the sport, coachability, community involvement and attitude. We chose this matrix because we understood that not every athlete has equal opportunities, so by providing a subjective matrix we can help encourage those riders to continue pursuing their passion - the goal is to also extend this program to include team members from Eastern Canada as the series is now well established across BC and there is a lot of great talent coming from Eastern Canada.

Our athletes are supported by the series, Coach Joel and Smith Optics, athletes are free to ride any bike they choose, and we truly encourage each athlete to connect with their local scene through volunteerism, active stewardship and riding responsibly.

You'll be able to spot our team members as they sport their snazzy new Kazoom Custom Cycling Apparel Team Jersey's during practice at all the CNES events in 2018!

15-Year-old Johnny Helly consistently places inside the top ten in the Pro category.

Our Goal

The main intent of the team is to provide a long-term athlete development approach to enduro racers. Our coach will focus their training on and off the bike, preparing a stable mindset/race tactics, and supporting their skill development through technical drills. Athletes will realize their potential through a myriad of training.
