I have to agree with everyone else, the coverage is very weak. All of this talk about Hecklers Rock and not being able to see it sucks. Also, there are only four cameras on the entire course and the two that are in the woods are of horrible quality. And it would also be nice to have some commentators that actually know something about downhill racing and not there just to show off their girl hair. I've come to expect better from Whistler, Crankworxs and Pinkbike.

ITS OFFICAL: crankworx has become a parody of itself.
no team trek, no team santa cruz,some other top racers missing, horrible announcing, slopestyle course still being worked on 3 days into the event, features being built too late for the races(where were those big gaps in the open?), racers not racing events, smaller presence in the village from vendors,no real crowds, no vibe........ i don't know man, this thing looks like its headed in the same direction as the ski and snowboard festival(as soon as the posers get control, they run it into the ground).
still,big thumbs up to those few dudes and dudettes that still got the passion and are doing it for the right reasons.
is crankworx still world class? not even.

These two commentators pretty ruines every Live feed of crankworx with the lack of knowledge on every thing,i can't stand that annoying mason like the year before he did it and now again.If that is best commentators Crankworx has to offer i better eat my shoes for dinner because this is just dissapointing on every detail. If this was a world cup race it pretty much is the worst race coverage ever but for crankworx standards this one sucks. Im a bit skeptical about the live feed for the Garbonzo DH,im affraid we hear the same commentators again but luckly there is a mute button when im getting tired of listening to all that crap and i hope they have lot's of camera's if not this will be very dissapointing again.

they probably didn't put heckler's rock on the coverage because everyone was getting butt naked and they're probably not allowed to show it on the live feed....would've been very entertaining though!

Coverage sucks so far, hearing all this shit about the Hecklers Rock and there is no video of it yet. And these commentators blow, how did they get the job? Soul patch mid 40s fat dude and girl hair bro? Comonn Warner and Nigel Page would have been much better. Love pinkbike, but i'll be going on over to Dirt for Crankworx coverage.

I just found a tiny field mouse in our compost. Turns out he knows more about mountain bike DH racing than these dullard commentators. I'm actually glad there isn't a World Cup at Whistler. It'd be embarrassing hearing this sort of shit with all the top riders around. I think Stevie was close to cringing at times with those moronic questions.

I made several comments in the chat during the Canadian Open asking Mason 'the commentator' to stop discussing/arguing with people online about his hair and commentate THE RACE. The commentators both failed to realize that there were thousands of people standing there watching the race at Whistler listening to him chit chat to groms online that don't like his hair. Meanwhile there were riders giving their all in the race and coming to the finish line to a deflated crowd that was truly impressed with the commentators they were forced to listen to.

The professionalism shown was absolutely dismal.

If the two commentators read this, I sincerely hope you use my comments to improve your next commentating job. Use this as a learning experience.

Deffo get rid of the long haired commentator. He's a total unprofessional fool! Not only did he fail multiple times to get some of the riders names correct, then following that up being a total jackass about it;, but he went as far as battling the Pinkbike chatroom users on air!! What a prick! NOT COOL!
Apart from that, I was happy I got to see abit of coverage for this race but would have been much better if there were cameras at Hecklers Rock.

I sort of tuned out the commentary after I saw how bad the timing, production etc was... But what really annoyed me was when Gee was still finishing his run after the crash and the hosts were already screaming for stevie smiths win.... Show some respect and let the guy finish before congratulating the winner.

To be honest I found these commentators alright, its that 'SHUT THE FRONT DOOR' and 'HOLY MOTHERTRUCKER' Brad guy that really annoys me... pretty sure we've got him for the joyride as well...

The commentaters should spend some time learning about the riders and the sport rather than f*cking sponsor mentions. I struggled to get through the live coverage of the women and gave up after two of the men. I'm pretty sure Claire Buchar went 10 seconds up or something crazy like that, and they were only interested in telling us when the sram tent was open for business and what they were selling. I also missed who actually won the race because they barely mentioned it, I had to wait for the results to come out so I could find out. Thats not what I expect from the coverage of arguably the biggest event/festival of the year.

Worst DH race coverage ever. I was very disappointed with it overall. One of the worlds best races and they talked about the commentators hair. They completely missed the women's race. Rachel killed most of the guys times.

We did learn and had put in a wrong video - video is swapped - why leave a lot of negative things when they no longer look good on the users behalf as the problem was fixed. Your comments would look silly now that the video is fixed - full length.

In fairness, Mick Hannah and his family do live in Colorado these days. So, he probably put that as his home address for registration. That said, even most casual racing fans know that Sik Mick is an Aussie. The flag on his sleeve is also an indicator of that!
