A more in depth look at what i'm up to at the moment and a bit about what makes me tick. As you'll see still not up to full speed but getting there. Shot and Edited by Alex Rankin.
The place on Countryfile was right near where I used to live. But when I rode there I gapped what Chris only used for a take off!! He's a machine, glad to see him back on the bike after such a big fall.
Always love his vids, and can relate to them bigtime since his accident. Rehab is like going back to basics and being made to relearn them, an amazingly rewarding but frustrating process that, I reckon, results in a better rider ultimately.
This is pretty strange. Sounds like a sign that Mongoose is heading down the toilet quickly. Hopefully Romaniuk, Kabbani and Akrigg (three of my favorite riders too) get picked up by better bike sponsors soon.
The High end mongoose stuff never sold that well here in the states and therefor they got dropped over here. I think they are still doing well over in Europe and thats why they are still sold over there.. I raced for Mongoose for a few years and I lover my Boot'r, my Khyber and my Teocali.. great bikes are sweet prices..
I remember watching this video right after i blew out my knee. Sometimes having a life altering accident can make you appreciate riding more than you ever have! I was out for 5 months this year with a torn meniscus and I came back stronger, faster and more more dedicated to riding my bike than i have ever been! Oh and now i think I'm gonna have to buy a moto trials bike cause it looks sick!
I severely broke my hand a year ago, and encountered the same difficult road to recovery (as a guitarist with an injured fretting hand). The mental game is tough, when you know what you are capable of, but your body won't deliver on. The good news is it does come back after the fight, and it will come back with a new perspective and more mature approach.
You keep your head up high, and I look forward to everything you contribute to the mountain bike scene.
hit me up when your ready to go off and I will show you the ultimate video shoot location. This location is a total secret and super unique. This onewill blow away all the sweet locals in the danny macaskill vids. Hit me up if you want to see this spot.
Great video, good on you son. Keep putting in the hard yards and the sponsors will keep coming hey, good to see some of the big boys have picked you up. SRAM? Not too shabby! I reckon what your next edit is crying out for is a bit of Mr. Scarface on the soundtrack. That would set it off fo sho! Do it!
Not only has Alex Rankin made some of the best mtb videos of all time it now appears he has learnt to levitate....unless he just invested in a steady cam! Akrigg rules, keep up the hard work man, I cant wait to see what he is going to produce once he is back to full strength.
So glad to see Chris back on his bike. The way he rides on those rocks is smooth and flowing, like a dancer! That's real skill. can't wait to see more of his inspiring videos coming in the future. Keep rocking, Chris!
Same thing here. This guy is a true ambassador for biking in general... Same thing with Ryan Leech who is from the same generation of trials rider. Anybody who ever tried trials know how difficult the sport is mentally and physically. Trials is so much more than cycling...it's a Martial art!!! and this guy is black belt! Nice to see you such in shape and motivated.
