Meet Chris Keeling from Kathmandu, Nepal. Chris arrived from out of nowhere and blew away the young European riders at last year's Megakids bike comp, by hammering into first place on his hardtail. He's leading the way for a new generation of young Nepali riders who the western world need to keep their eye on.

He introduces us to his local scene in Kathmandu, shows us one of his favourite trails, and talks about how he managed to leave a load of shocked faces in France last summer. Guess what? Nepal could be the future of Mountain biking!

OT : The top-ranking Briton - Edward Lillingston Price - has the most British sounding name ever. Classic.

And this young nepalese chap seems like a pretty chill dude. Won the Mega Avalanche juniors on a hardtail, but doesn't display any ego over it whatsoever. Chapeau.

i went hiking in nepal 6 years ago and all i couldnt think about was riding my dh bike down some of the most amazing trails ive ever seen. the video does no justice to the potential there. nepal has been coming up in the mtb sport and will keep climbing. i say look out for lift access dh in the next decade.

Check out the film we put out last week called 'Something Good' from the high mountains in Mustang, Nepal. www.pinkbike.com/video/347684

Theres one lift already in Manakamana, but yeah gonna be great when Kathmandu valley gets that going on, or when Heli lifts get cheaper!

Hope never lift access won't built in Nepal, mountain bike is in true mountain, not mountain with lift, bar, hotel or highway in place of downhill track!

He smoked most of his competition! Major props man! If I take the trip to Nepal like I plan it'd be badass to have him show me some trails.
