That did not look like a flip double whip more like a 360 double whip. Am i wrong? It is still sick but I think the frontie barspin was better.

Looks like you're right to me. He never went inverted.

 Agreed. I wouldn't call it a Flip Double-Whip

kinda more like a corked double whip.
  • 3 2
That's yannick's style. If youve ever seen him through a single flip whip he still corks left like that.

 flatspin

i was in shock that the frontflip barspin didn't take it. that double tail 3 was big, but not as badass, and certainly not a backflip.
to say that thats yanni's backflip style (not going inverted) means that he's not really doing backflips. super epic riding either way

i prefered yannick's trick tp the fronty to barspin, i know there super rowdy and everything but they are becoming a bit overkill in competitions.. its nice for a best trick comp not to go to a fronty or a double backflip for a change

 00:50 = O_O

yep it was a 360 douple whip, but the frontflip tailwhip (lookslike failed landing) and the frontflip barspin is waaay more rare then the winners trick in my opinion Frown

I was standing at the 40 foot ramp watching the whole thing. He didn't land the front tailwhip, but he tried it three time and each time he was very close. Anyone know who it was tring that? @ 0:49

No kidding, that was the only trick I hadn't seen before.

Benny Phillips was trying them last year at kokanee. Couldnt quite stomp one though. Then an edit of him came out about a month and a half ago where he lands one.
  • 2 1
He tried it 3 times and crashed all 3 but he was hucking it! great stuff

even if he rode out on the seat, i think it deserves it...its a front flip tail whip. i never thought that would be doable...but then again i never thought i would see dirt bikes do 360's and front flips and so many other tricks.... progression is flat insane!

Imagine the tricks in the next 5-10 years. Quad whips? FrontFlip double whips?n 3 triple whips? It's gonna be whack.

$1000 For first place?! What a joke. These are the most high profile riders in the world sending it.. Big spono's like red bull. COME ON!
  • 4 1
Dude, I think Yannik won because he is sponsored by Red Bull, just as the event itself is. The same thing at the Bergline, where Andreu took the win, although Reynolds run was better... still a badass trick though!

a flip doublewhip beat a frontflip barspin? claymore sucks man
  • 2 2
The guy trying the front tailwhip never landed it. What won was a backflip double tailwhip.

i said frontflip barspin.. get out
  • 5 1
flip double was insane but i think tom should have taken the prize with the fronty bar!
  • 4 1
Frontflip whip did it for me!
  • 2 2
I guess the barspin to tailwhip isn't as spectacular when the jumps become this big. Wish they had a camera showing the landings of each trick!

Front Flip Tail Whip shoulda been IT!!

Macduff's super seater whip and wypers frontie whip were rowdy
  • 3 3
they need to do a best trick comp on the air bag, so we can see some new stuf!

That song just f*cked up the whole video...
  • 5 1
I don't know how they do it in Brazil, but in the US the real professionals use licensed music. If you want to pitch in $10k+ in licensing fees I'll happily use a song of your choice.
