If you wear a cape over your rear wheel, you're gonna have a bad time.

Unfortunately on the contrary... Pompatic, ecstatic pictures of heroes of the sport, going through some unbelievable gnar or backflipping, scrubbing in slow-mo at the sunset, accompanied by some cool music sell bikes better than good sense of humour... such commercial sells you a feeling, experience that goes with buying bike, not the bike directly. It adresses your irrational feelings, planting a seed of desire, it does not adress a need. It is aimed to generate demand not just to let you know that there is such product, but to make you feel: I want to do that stuff too, this bike seems perfect for it - just think what immense power such image has for those who are new to the sport! MTB is so cool I can flyyyy! This is the kind of riding I wanna do, I wonder what bike he rides, I heard there's so many different types!

Funny commercials are rare as it is harder to make someone laugh to create an imprint in his/her mind that could be connected with the product that was included in the gig. Something that makes you laugh can make someone else think, what kind of stupid crap is that - has anyone noticed that sense of humour is related to inteligence? In big business funny commercials are made to win the wallets of smarter people. If you ever heard of 20-80% ratio you will get a clue why so many commercials in TV are so stupid (at the first glimpse, because in fact they are evilishly brilliant)

So some will want to buy that bike because company has a good sense of humour (I find it super cool myself) but most people behave irrationaly, believe they express their personalities, riding styles, beliefs by buying certain products and most of them will fall for an opportunity to feel like a super hero...

For anyone interested in the subject and thinking I am making consipracy theories : learn about Edward Bernays and Matthew Freud (yes Freud...) - it's not consipracy, it's science

Having said above I salute Cotic for keeping their company profile and not going for cheap ecstatics filmed and put together by expensive technology... Sweet rational bikes with feel and decent style!

Get off Pinkbike, go outside, ride your bike and then meet girls. In that order.

I am married with a child, have a fulltime job and ride 2-3 times a week + I do strength training 2-3 times a week that can give you a hint of my fitness + I assure you I have some decent skills. Apart from having fun being here I am trying to inform people on that there is something more in the bike industry than providing us with sick products being ridden by sick riders shredding the sick gnarr in sick movies. Then I wouldn't be here if I wasn't encouraged to by some more specific than random figures

Perpetually rocking the boat and tooting one's own horn is not a way to make people like you. We don't want a lecture or 20,000,000 line comments...

The teenagers are banding together to neg prop anyone who doesn't agree with them. The articles and reviews are starting to take on a teeny-bopper flavour to cater to the negative and opinionated kids. They seem to only enjoy something if there is rudeness in it. Its like american idol became the template for a whole generation.

Treehugger84 - understood, I take that on board of my tooting boat, however I am definitely not into making all people to like me. I'll try to keep it shorter to get the point across more often

Wow, never heard of those bikes, but they look awesome (I'd need a 1x driverain w/guide and a dropper post, but 'm loving the clean lines. Gotta wonder though how the steel frames flex might effect the suspension action (I vastly prefer steel hardtails but aluminum keeps.everything lined up so there's no bind or premature pivot wear) Still, I hear Exprezo's bikes work real well so... AWESOME vid too.
