The mood at the start gate was relaxed. The Garbonzo DH is a non-sanctioned event so riders raced for fun instead and a chance to race on one of the badest-ass tracks around.

Garbonzo, garbo, gamonzo...any other variation of GARBANZO?
Surreal to have a race this important messing up with MSA and on top of that is the uci rule of unsanctiones races... This is starting to look as messy as spanish goverment

actually i think it gives the chance to other people to win races rather than world cup riders

" Claire, second in a not so stacked field"
A comment like that, in that race field, should have you whipped repeatedly with your own blond wig.

man i wanted to see Leov riding that "In Deep" shoot on his slash. Kind of curious if his choice of the slash hurt him in winning the race.

So if its an in sanctioned race, blenki and danny should be suspended under that gay as f*ck uci law?!
  • 1 0
probably being thick here but whats this law?
  • 1 0
if a UCI sanctioned racer races in a non sanctioned race they are given an "unfair advantage?" over their competitors. they will be suspended from the UCI curcuit.
thats the law, idk if they will follow thru
  • 2 0
That doesn't come into effect until 2014

That high left line on In Deep is gnarly. Doing it while racing.....crazy gnarly.
  • 1 0
I always thought the high line was the one to do for speed ? The pro line ...

I see a lot of pros doing the butt crack instead - thoughts ?
  • 1 0
I guess the high line is more direct but the butt crack you can attack a bit quicker and maybe accelerate out too... Ive never hit the high line though. I was also amazed to see more people hitting the second longer chute rather than the rock roll... in the video to a guy sneaks behind the tree and the rock! Crazy!
