One of many jerseys Danny has had over the years...Though this one holds perhaps a bit more Clout and is definitely harder to keep clean.
When I looked at this I thought health, happiness and supplements play a huge role in an athlete's success and as for the stand of Chupa Chups Lolli's for Cat (Danny's girlfriend) "happy wife means a happy life". Success.
I was interested to see just how proud the people of the UK were of the newly crowned King, let me to tell you If it wasn't for the name "Danny Hart" on my customs form it could have been a very long day. Here in Danny's hometown of Redcar is one of many blatant shout outs to the king.
I'll give you one guess at which Magazine was chosen from the Rack...
Hamsterley Forest before it closes out into a Dark unforgiving funnel of steep roots and rocks. Honestly, the conditions and tracks that Danny has grown up riding for fun could easily rival any of the tracks on the WC circuit today.
A tight group of operators makes Descend Bike Park a perfect training ground. Owner/Operator Craig Hunter keeps the "uplifts" going. He also shed a little light on Danny's life as a Grom, it seems the kid never had an awkward stage.
Craig Hunter and his Uplift, a humble man with a vision and a deep routed relationship with Danny. Check out his bike park here www.descend-bikepark.co.uk
It's not un-common to have a cup in between laps at the park, the boys will take care of you.
These travel to most world cups with Danny, I guess Rob Warner was right, here they are in all their golden glory. Accurate casting...?
Bubba squaring off with the champ, I wouldn't doubt that a weigh in puts them in the same class either.
He's scrappy and disciplined; especially when he has a job to do...and so is Bubba.
CALTON BANK! What can I say about this place, a virtual roller coaster of a track. The weather rips through this place leaving not much more than the shrubs you see in the foreground. The sprint at the beginning against the wind and rain seemed to give Hart the speed to just absolutely flow through a mild but on point track. I could have spent all day right here at this section watching the weather follow Danny down the ridge.
The approach at the end of the ridge sprint, you can see Danny setting up to drop in just beyond my right shoulder, "ladies and gentlemen please keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times"...
One of many opportunities to double down into a set of corners, still battling a highland wind, yet another adaptation done with ease.
It is what it seems, left to long right. Repeat.
It's not all pinning DH trails, Danny does have a very strict training regime, one that includes sprints.
Not too beat a dead horse, but when it just happens, it's my job to bring it to your attention. A lunchtime spot with a fitting name.
Sr. Hart is a proud man and huge part of why Danny is where he is today, (Jr's praise). Four days spent immersed in Redcar I learned how Danny's support team works. It is a well-oiled machine; with certain amounts of expectation on everyone's plate insures every detail sees attention. And I don't mean just immediate family.
Anything with two wheels seems to be on the list of exploits, Moto a couple times a week keeps the strength and adjustment to speed on point.
For most guys' car garages aren't used to protect the grocery getters but to carefully organize their toys and everything needed to maintain them. Danny's Dad has a little spot set aside for a couple race plates, all of which are heavy on the 1-10's.
The details inside the machine...
Anyone involved in the World Cup schedule knows time at home is the smallest part of the pie chart. So when the time comes it's important to spend it with the people that sacrifice so much to be a constant part of your life. Danny and Cat in search of Carny games, staple of the boardwalk in Redcar
Danny hart is like a chocolate pie filled with skill and rainbows. I would also purchase the magazine Country Walking. (top left) Wait, your saying he bought the boob mag??? Oh dearie. Danny, stay on your bike.
Not so much - being world champ is part of his personality. I'm sure there are plenty of good looking guys out there with great achievements that 'Cat' could get, but they probably wouldn't be as awesome a guy as Danny. Let's say you're given this choice: spending a day with danny, or a random good looking, high achieving guy? Danny, right? Right, because you're a big hucker!
Taylor and Adrian are the fearsome twosome. Such an amazing edit and photos! I love this sort of content because it gives us a look into the lives of riders that we look up to and admire. Also, Hart on a bike is over the top.
I spent 6 years living and riding in the North-East of England
can I ask....the photos where Danny is riding on the top of a big hill, caption says "CALTON BANK! What can I say about this place, a virtual roller coaster of a track"
is this "Eston Hills" near Redcar? we used to race there in the early 90s against newcomers like Steve Peat
I've been to Redcar a number of times, and other locals towns like Middlesborough, strange locations with their own charms
Carlton is further south than Eston. Just down the road. I remember Eston though. Racing Steve Peat and Plunkie at the Nambs and Nemba races back in the day........
@hampsteadbandit I used to work at Denton Cycles. Used to hang out with Adam quite a bit when he rode for Sintesi. Only got to hang out with Jason once, but he made an impression. Remember racing at the nambs when he died.
Downhill was a totally different scene back then....... miss those days.
Rad Video....i'm assuming the photography is by Adrian Marcoux....i'm not a fan of heavy photo editing, and i am a fan of using flash....this guys is the polar opposite but i must give him credit, it works...i like his aesthetic...for some reason it meshes well with his style....i would love to know what lightroom preset he's using...good stuff, danny will hopefully be the next sam
Danny hart is my favorite rider. Remember first video i saw of downhill before i started riding again. Halo BDS when he shreds down the fort William track.... Made me start riding again and made me love Giant glory bikes.
What's up with the pic of the magazine stand?! Having grown up on this site, I would expect better! There is no reason to take a site that is all about the love of this sport, and make it inappropriate! The Internet has plenty of sleaze! There is no reason for pinkbike to put itself on that same level! Come on PB!
Why do you a-holes even bother posting anything negitive...The guy is so dialed and over the top,and everything is working for him.Hart has it going on big time, and he's just going to get faster and faster !!
yes danny awesome vid and selection of shots, that day at hamsterley was amazin wish i got a hair cut before we went as you can see from pic six my hair was outrageous lol
I actually like that Hart is getting all the press for his one win. That way the true legend will continue to fly under the radar, and continue to win race after race...
I think he's getting the press because he's young, has a lot of style and is a new addition to the list of the boys at the very top. There is also the small matter that he put down arguably the best downhill run of all time on the biggest stage in our sport. Of course Gwin is the fastest man in the world at the moment but Danny is more exciting as a new prospect.
I never realized that danny does have a bit of muscle on him... of course not a ton but i had always thought that he had the body of a skinny video gamer... (ya know)
and that's the only down side of having a 1 day 1 run World Champs. did Heart get a top 3 Prior to that race? cause we all know what Gwin did all World Cup long. and that was smash almost everyone every time out. so neg prop me all you want. Gwin will destroy Heart at most events. sorry guys
2) why SHOULDN'T the world champion get the girl?
Let's say you're given this choice: spending a day with danny, or a random good looking, high achieving guy?
Danny, right? Right, because you're a big hucker!
i joke
im sure shes happy
especially if he rides her as good as he does bikes then shes in for a treat
id buy ZOO then....

I've been to Redcar a number of times, and other locals towns like Middlesborough, strange locations with their own charms
I was riding for "Hardisty Cycles" of Newcastle with fellow team mates Adam Robertson and Jason McRoy (JMC),
spent plenty of time riding with Plunkett and JMC, fond memories of those days
Only got to hang out with Jason once, but he made an impression. Remember racing at the nambs when he died.
Downhill was a totally different scene back then....... miss those days.
I think you mean "heaped" Danny mah boy!
Sick video, nice to see he's a normal bloke and not some kind of race winning robot fuelled on Redbull and kerosene
AwesOme Danny, keep it rolling into next year bud!
i'm confused, she's so pretty 'nd hot and he's ass face .....
what a f**k????? ; P
