Per the post: yeah I'm with you Darkstar63 (love the name too, my band plays a cover of Dark Star), I like the lever cause it's simpler and I am used to it, but I haven't tred a ton of them either. I see the poential for there to "be a better way". Gravity dropper seems to be onto something, but the others seem to be better posts and have more range so Im kinda at odds. Until I find a remote actuator I "can't live without" then I live with the under the seat-lever as it doesn't hold me back one bit. Oh and I have a Hite-Rite sitting in my shop right now and anther on my dad's old Scwwinn Mirada (the first mass-produced mtn bike sold I think)

NOT getting into what happened or anything, but since you've brought this little escapade to my comment box: This is a privately run BIKE web-site, so yeah, I can see what you describe happening... Technically besides say an "off topic" forum they can take down any content that's not bike or "topic" related (and they program/pay for/moderate/etc. the site). YOU NOR I are "plus" members meaning we are here at the grace of whoever runs, and or funds, this site. We don't pay them... So yeah, you realy can't ever win this argument. You're "jousting with windmills" on this one and taking it to a "Site-Wide War" is a WEE bit over the top isn't it??? And for what it's worth, your post below decrying the moustache (look, I live in the epicenter f hipster culture...I GET IT, I do) however poorly expressed to the rest of the gang and in whatever poor taste it is to mock someone's sexual orientation due to dress code, is still there so they've let some of your better work stand to the vote of fellow PB members and the numbers don't look so hot for ya mate

My parents had no part in me purchasing that bike , I would never ask them to contribute and they would not anyway , they arent the spend lots of cash on the kids type.

That's not to say its not awesome though. As a crazy overdone gimmick for worlds it's one of the best I've ever seen. It's great. But just as a bike it's ugly. I mean if any of us saw someone roll up with that color scheme (excluding all the British stuff), most people would say it looked ridiculous.
I personally though Minnars bike looked awesome, for world and just as a bike.
