Disco Down 2011 - presented by Thirty7even from Aktion Schotterflechte on Vimeo.
Never seen before in Holland: 16 pro mountainbike and BMX riders competing against each other in a club. The trail started on the top floor, went through the corridors, down the stairs, with a jump over a beer unit and finished on the dance floor.
The audience was astonished with the skills the riders showed. It took a lot of guts, speed and technique. In the end Jelle van der Elzen won the competition. He was the fastest rider over two timed runs.
Joost Wichman (3rd at the Worlds Four Cross 2011) designed the track and invited the riders. It was the first big event organized by his new company
Thirty7even. More demos, clinics and riding camps will follow next year, and it will be likely that the concept of Disco Down will go on tour.
