The Elements of Perfection video series went bigger and better this summer, and we saved the most exciting installment for last:
ELEVATION drops in at over 7000 feet, showcasing the Top of the World alpine trail on the Peak of Whistler Mountain.
For the first time ever, the Peak Chair on Whistler Mountain opened for mountain bikers this summer and made the dream of riding the alpine a reality. The Elements of Perfection team and riders went all out for the final video of the series and the result is as unique as the ride.
The elevation opened new doors for filming and a heli was brought in for unique aerial coverage of the entire trail. Photo - Mark Mackay
Fall riding in Whistler is some of the best of the year and this year was nothing short. Day after day of clear skies and warm temperatures gave the crew ample opportunity to film when the light was at its best. Photo - Mark Mackay
The first few days of filming weren't the greatest as clouds rolled late in the evenings. It a least allowed for some fun and creativity. Photo - Mark Mackay
Although Top of the World is now closed for the season as we wait for the snow to fly, there is no doubt that its return in 2013 will be even more anticipated than the last.

But screw you guys for releasing this video JUST as it closes. Jerks.
I mean, the scenes were we see the handlebar and the trail. One of the best action filming i've seen!!
Shame it wasn't open when I visited in July but there's always a next time.
