Thank you for posting full results here, Scribd sucks.
The French, and especially Clementz, pretty much dominated the first year of enduro. Surprised his Cannondale hasn't got more attention, seems like a great enduro bike.
North America has a long way to go, really no good results all year for us newbies. I think Canada has the potential to be competitive, just need to get more races going and more people racing. Seems to be even more interest in the US, but many of their races resemble Super D stage racing, so there is some catching up to do in terms of the technicality of the trails.
At the beginning of the year I didn't think enduro had alot of fan appeal but I was wrong. While enduro is absolutely the future of mtb as a participant sport, I think it has the potential to be as exciting to watch as DH. Just gotta get helmet cams on a bunch of the top guys and show it live on the internet...
I think recaps of races are good enough. Live sending does not happen in WRC so it won't happen either in Enduro in my opinion. It just seems too hard to do technicaly.
The recaps are ok, but they don't show much of the trails and they miss most of the best action.
Imagine seeing helmet cam footage of the fastest guys battling on course, like when Barel passed Minnar and dropped him, or Graves following the dust cloud of Clementz.
I'm not a media production expert but I don't think it would be hard to pull off, though it would be easier with less guys. It would also be entertaining hearing the racers talking with each other about their runs after each stage, though I guess a tape delay might be necessary for editing out the expletives.
Jamie Nicholl from Nelson NZ, 10th overall for the race and 7th overall for the season. Someone needs to give him a fulltime ride for next year. All done as a privateer this year.
well. this is just the standing after Stage 5, Stage 6 is missing the the Overall ... it's not too hard ...
and even if stage 4 was cancelled... stage 5 and 6 did not change their label...
Except for the fact that Nico Lau, without his penalty, would have won on 650b.
Plus I am pretty sure 3rd, 4th, and 5th were on 650b as well.
So, yeah, if you were rooting for a wheel size, rather than say, a particular rider, a country, or that the EWS would be successful...I feel sorry for you.
Can we please somehow embed in peoples minds on all bike websites that in case of such a little factor like the wheel size, 26vs650bs or 27.5vs29" forming arguments basing on race results is absolutely stupid? Everyone backing up his gear related arguments with race-results is a fkng idiot without a clue.
Come on, next time show full result with women included!!!
It would be nice to see how the women did with respect to each other.
