 The ageless wonder.

Gotta admit to a serious Man Crush for Adam Craig - He just kicks ass at anything he does on a bike. SS World Champ? Downieville Champ? WC XC podium? US Olympic Team? US U23 Cyclocross Champ? US XC Champ? US Short Track Champ? SS CX World Champ? US Super D Champ? Check.

Sure, he was "only" 24th at this race but if you look at everything he's done he kicks so much ass it's surprising there's any ass left to kick! If he decides he's going to be good at this I expect to see him up there soon.

Notice he moved up to 24th, after finishing stage 1 in 55th. He'll get more competitive over time.

He creates some pretty nice bikes too. I love my Anthem.

Jerome Clementz : one flat tire and (only) one minute late
We know who's going to win EWS2013...
  • 1 0
I had him as my pick to win. Super impressive that he rode back up into 7th overall after his puncture dropped him all the way back to 96th!

Too early to say whos going to win, what this as shown is anything can happen to anyone at any time, AC injured first round, like all racing you have to finish to win. Still a top contender because this EWS Enduro is going to throw up surprises at each round, mechanically, technically etc etc. So good to see so many of the DH boys up theyre probably no surprise given the terrain and lift access, results of the SuperEnduro riders is a bit of a surprise to me though. Stoked for NicoV, Gravesey, JLo in 6th, Peaty, Gracia, Minnaar, then what the hell AWESOME result Kiwi Rosara J....wikid girl, beaten last week into 3rd for SuperEnduro by the Gherig twins, this time finishing ahead of both of them, shes pretty much a privateer against fully funded and sponsored riders, kicking butt in US and now showing the world she can do it in Europe as well, give that girl a contract someone quick! Jamie Nicol had some great stage results, somewhere fell off pace not sure if mech flats crash, but 47th is still a top result in that company congrats guys keep going next round wikid...

 Go Rosara!

Yeah Rosara! She basically self-funded the trip with winnings from the Blitz to the Barrel race so also big ups to to the promoters from B2B for helping Rosara get there.

Dang, nice to see so many of the top DH world cup guys not only competing but finishing very strong!
  • 5 1
Nico confirms "greatest of all time" status.
  • 2 0
I think after five world cup overalls and ten world championships that will never need confirming.

It would be best if you could drop your worst result (like in many sports with a lot of stages)
This way a flat tire wouldnt be disaster like what happened to Barel and Dan.
Cam on EWS guys It is obvious
Minnaar, what a race!!!

That's an insane way to go racing, hand victory to the rider with worse results because they get to turn round and shout 'wait! That one doesn't count'. They're pros, 127 of the 130 field managed to miss whatever flatted Barel, Atherton and Clementz, they hit it, they flatted, such is racing.

@Fix-the-Spade. Agreed 100%. As the old racer saying goes, "To finish first, first you must finish."
  • 1 0
That doesn't work as the stages are different lengths. Cam on gapos999, it is obvious.

DH guys prove that they are pretty damn fit... Minaar will do well in Enduro when he leaves the World Cup circuit.
  • 2 0
 Stoked for Rene Wildhaber
  • 2 0
Ben Cruz probably best mountain biker from u.s. right now. Glad he's ok.
  • 2 0
Minnaar - Apparently he's one to be reckoned with on any race format!
  • 1 0
Fabien Barel will be back on the 3rd roundSmile
  • 1 0
Clearly the DH skills were more important on this one?
