Today sees the release of the second installment of ‘MacAskill’s Imaginate’. ‘Taking shape’ sees Danny under a strict rehabilitation programme focused on getting the trials legend back on his bike so he is able to tackle his most ambitious project to date.
Whilst still recovering from back surgery, Danny commits to filming a new TV project, ‘Daredevils: Life on the edge’ which sees him meet and ride with one of his heroes, motorbike racer Guy Martin, who clearly shows that the respect is mutual “What Danny doing is rocket science to me because it is inch precision…”
With rehabilitation progressing well and Danny able to get out riding on his mountain bike, serious plans start to come together for the new riding clip, “There have been tricks that I’ve always wanted to learn but haven’t found the right street set up…if we can come up with an idea that has no limitations…”
MTBing needs more online video series. This and the Athertons are so entertaining.
Also, the balls needed to want to hang off the back of that bike... jesus
@mrkamot : Semenuk on press release told he won't compete much this year. he will only attempd 4 or 5 FMB comp, There is another season of life behind bars on the way + he is involved in other video stuff
Cano- a few years late on that one, haha. I'd say STUND was the best web series just because of all the legendary places they rode, with riding you'd only see in the films. Roman's one foot tables were messed up.
You gotta hand it to Red Bull they put so much so much time and money into extreme sports, especially mountain biking and make things happen that would not normally.
Such an inspiration for all the riders around the world no matter what discipline they are in this guy is an absolut legend in this sport! Danny keep up the good work and let there be more videos like this.
Really cool with this "behind the scenes" stuff instead of the usual glamorous edits. It's not just us mortals that has to fight injuries and worry about being able to ride again. Even the best of the best sometimes go through hard times, and it is very inspiring to see people like MacAskill and CG do what ever needs to be done and return even greater than before.
Pillion with Guy Martin is going straight on my bucket list.
If you haven't seen Closer To The Edge you need to watch it now. Incredible look at the Manx TT
In terms of advertising campaigns, I think Red Bull have something amazing. RB taking care of its athletes...is something else. Top form, Red Bull. Heal up soon, Danny, so you can continue to amaze.
The first time I saw Danny MacAskill it was by accident on youtube. I was blown away then, and I absolutely can't wait to see the finished warehouse now! I instantly think of how what they build will be turned into a trials park for the public. That would be epic!
Worst video ever. This belongs on some terrible cable channel at night or something. Riding on the back of a motorcycle? Really? He should wait until hes better and get back to biking. Not make retarded videos because he's got a contract. I hope he makes a quick and thorough recovery. And we don't have to watch this junk anymore.
No offense to anyone, but I needed subtitles for some of the dialog. I wonder what the different American regional accents sound like to people from different parts of the U.K. and Ireland. Awesome vid, awesome dude.
Anyone else bored out of their mind watching this? Skipped most of it. Couldn't really give a f*ck about Danny. I'm a consumer and I want to consume some bicycle tricks not listen to some Scottish blokes banging on about back injuries. 'Must Watch Video'? Best avoided if you value your time. Best bit was the camera lead about to get stuck on a bollard which they obviously cut just before everyone stacked it.
any1 else bored??? watched 2 episodes of the much hyped danny mac series an only seen shots of tricks i seen him do years ago or behind the scenes of a show i saw months ago. A very disappointing series so far....although Guy Martin is awesome
Epic line!
