As a photographer, I have always loved image, stills, stop motion, video, anything! And after buying my first real DSLR in January 2010 I finally got to have a go at film making, as well as photography. Before I put all my money into camera equipment, like flashes, lenses and the like, but now I have have a camera that can do both....well it seems a waste not to!
'Eventide' is my first REAL try at a professional(ish) video, I have dabbled in the past, but nothing major. Until now!
Over the past four months I have dropped riding my bike and photography to pay my full attention to this project, my wallet has also taken a massive hit! The experience has been amazing and filming this has brought me a lot closer to people and shown me a lot more of England.
This film was created to show a snapshot of UK downhill in the winter, following a wide variety of riders such as casual and elite downhillers, to dedicated dirt jumpers, to one of the UK's biggest 4x race teams! Featuring super fast racer Matt Simmonds alongside many that I think will soon be more noticed on the UK downhill race scene!
The premiere drops on the 26th of March and from then on the film will be released section by section every two weeks here on my blog and anywhere else interested, I hope you all enjoy watching them as much as I have enjoyed making them! Thanks.
Also can I just say a massive thanks to my partner Stephanie Phillips, who guided me through and has endured me questioning her about my film. And also to John Lee (manager of 52 race team) for helping the premiere come together and Action Cameras for supplying me with a sweet Drift HD170!
