Fraser Valley Trail Cleaning and Conditions Update

Mar 28, 2008
by Jordan Holmes
Well everyone it's been another year up on Vedder and with the snow finally receding it is exposing some nasty trash that has "fallen" out of peoples trucks, so in order to earn this years trail pass for Vedder Mountain, come out and help put some man (and woman) hours in to keep it clean and clear.

Read on to learn about Vedder and Sumas Trail days:
Vedder Mountain Clean Up - Where's your Trail Pass?

So yes it's time for the annual Vedder Mountain Clean-up. This is going to go down on Sunday April 27th. We will meet up at 9:00am at the main shuttle parking lot. From there we will go collect trash (Please bring gloves) for a couple of hours then break for a great free lunch. We will then head back to the hill and do some actual trail maintenance that is much needed after all the wet weather we have been having. So please bring out your rakes, shovels and buckets. Please note DO NOT BRING YOUR BIKE. There will be no where to keep it and there will be NO shuttles. This is a work day to raise your biking karma. If you have any questions feel free to check in with Rob at Jacks Cycle.

Just a recap.

Date: Sunday April 27th
Time: 9:00 am
Where: main shuttle parking lot on Vedder mountain
What to bring: gloves to pick up trash with and tools for trail work.
Optional Items: bags for garbage, paper towels, clean clothes for after.

Time Killer is being re-born.

The logging that took place on Sumas recently wiped out the Freeway Bob section of TimeKiller. Over the past few weeks, we've done a lot of work putting the trail back in and now that the trails been generally cleared of debris, a lot more effort is needed to make it ridable. We need you!

Come on out this weekend for a quick and dirty trail day.
