Fab is back with the 3rd in his video series. Now, he's in Spain with Andreu Lacondeguy, and it's remarkable what they experience. Andreu is a natural on the bike and a serious competitor. But he's driven by the same force that guides all mountain bikers: the pursuit of flow. First, the guys venture to the desert looking for new lines. What they find on the moon-like landscape is not only new lines, but new levels of fluidity. It's the same when they hit the dirt jumps. It's not all about how big and how trick, but also about how smooth and how liquid. Fab and Andreu find a close connection in this common thread of the MTB life.

 That was really cool, seeing Andreu ride a normal trail, not trying to go crazy but still having a good time! And Fabien with the backflip!

 It was a nice way to finish. We don't see it properly but the way Fabian is looking sideways at the landing I'm guessing the flip was a little corked as well.

 Ya it's awesome to see athletes enjoying the sport as a whole and not just their perspective discipline. I had no idea Andreu had trail skills like this. Sweet video!

 Its interesting to see Fab riding with Andreu...I think i remember him talking mad shit about freeriders in one of the first few NWD films. ..."freeriders arejust people that never made it to races and couldn't win" or something to that affect. Well damn he's come a long way. wait...That was fabien barrel and not cedric gracia, right?

 Ya I think that was the same interview that he said the US doesn't have a top World Cup rider because we lack the discipline to train hard. Correct me if I'm wrong but I know I heard him say that.

 Gracia explained in one of the first NWD movies that the first freeriders were riders who didn't make it to racing.... so it's not really thrash talking or making jokes about freeriders, it is how it actually started. Smile

 Andreu got his start racing DH. He and his brother were featured in Dirt 1 or 2 years ago ripping trails.

 Nice video, but I have a question. The first part of the video is in the Pisquerra area of Bardenas Reales in Spain. It is not allowed to access this area anymore, not by bike and not even walking, due to ecological reasons. How did you get these pictures? Did you have a special permision? ...I'm just curious Confused

 When I lived in Barcelona, I rode at a little bike park, dirt jump area that Andrue built and rode at, the jumps were sick sick sick... Great to see a dude living his dream... Seeing him at Crankworx in the flesh again was great, a fantastic competitor... Feel he will come away with a big win again this year..... Great video again from Fabien..... Top marks
