Atherton, Beaumont and Beerten Reign in Spain!

FOX Racing Shox equipped riders won 3 of 4 events at the opening round World Cup of the Season in Vigo, Spain May 5 and 6th.

This is a great way to start the season.Men’s Downhill
Marc Beaumont of Team MBUK/Santa Cruz survived an ugly crash in qualifying and came back to win his first ever World Cup.

Men’s 4X
Dan Atherton had the best qualifying position, but it was his brother Gee Atherton Team Animal/Commencal who beat this world-class field to take the top position on the podium. World Cup 4X designer Phil Saxon created a work of art for the Vigo track. Riders described it as a real mountain bike course, not just a groomed super BMX track.

Women’s 4X
Anneke Beerten of Team Bike Park.CH grabbed her first World Cup win of the season.

Women’s Downhill
Tracey Moseley continued her excellent form with a second place on her DHX 5.0 equipped Kona while FOX rider Emmeline Ragot raced to third with her FOX 40 RC2 and DHX 5.0. Unfortunately Rachel Atherton had a bad crash in qualifying and broke her arm. Everyone at FOX wishes her a speedy recovery.
