NWD Star Struck winner is.....

Well thanks to all that wrote in with your tales about the NWD riders. Wayne Goss is known to give a mean wedgie if you comment on his nipple ring in an inappropriate manner, Cam McCaul wears beer goggles when he's picking up in Whistler and Geoff Gulevich will sign your brothers DVD Christmas present if you take him out for lunch... we would have never known this stuff if it wasn't for you.Of course one letter stood out like he was REALLY star struck, I mean this guy worships the ground he rides on. Congratulations Jason and you'll look like one of the crew when you're hanging out in Whistler this year sporting your new Freeride Team Only hat, hoodie and T-shirt .

Hey, my name is Jason Lucas and this is my story of how I was NWD Star Struck.

Me and my friend were up at Whistler for our second time last year and it was a beatiful day. When we got our passes and headed up to go warm-up on A-line the guy sitting next to us on the chair said he had heard Wade Simmons was on the mountain and riding the trails. Of course this put me and my buddy in a good mood because, "Wow the guy who started it all and he's riding the same trails we are." So anyway for our first five runs down the mountain we were searching and searching for Wade Simmons but we couldnt find him. At about 3 PM we were on A-line again and we stopped in the middle open clearing part to talk to some guys and who do we see fly by.... why Wade Simmons of course. We knew it was him right away with his Rocky Mountain and my friend could have sworn he saw Wade Simmons stickered on the side of the bike. So any way the adrenalin started flowing and me and my buddy started pedaling, when we were on the trail on every corner I could see Simmons doing a berm two jumps ahead of us. After about four to six minutes of riding we were at the bottom and we couldnt seem to locate him. But that didnt really matter to us because we had seen him ride right next to us and somwhere in front of us. It was definently a day to remember at Whistler.

And thats my story.
