A great weekend of exciting biking events and competitions for all levels will be held August 5-7, 2006 at Frontier Lodge near Nordegg, Alberta. All are invited, whether beginner or advanced, to attend the 15th Annual Frontier Fat Tire Festival. Frontier Lodge boasts some of the best downhill, trials, slalom, cross country and north shore courses in Alberta. Thousands of dollars worth of biking gear, clothing, cash and other prizes are to be won at the various events and competitions. Families are encouraged to attend also as there will be guided rides and fun events for all ages and ability levels.Registration for competitors and participants is $45 for the weekend and spectators are free. Heli-biking is also offered for those looking for an extra challenge. Lodging and meals are available at Frontier Lodge or in the surrounding area. Early registrations are recommended.
Frontier Lodge is a non-profit, wilderness adventure camp located one hour west of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. It has been in existence for forty-seven years and is excited to once again host the annual Fat Tire Festival. Located on Fish Lake, Frontier also offers the awesome beauty of the Canadian Rockies.
