Video: Gee Milner - 2013 Showreel

Nov 23, 2013
by George Milner
2013 was a busy year for me, following the World Cup season and doing some non-race projects along the way. Great times were had and I gathered together lots of footage which I'm pretty pleased with. The showreel below is just a very small selection from my short time involved with filming bikes. It's been a slog trying to edit down three years of footage into just over three minutes but hopefully it was worth it. I wonder what the next three years hold? Enjoy!

Mark Wallace: a Canadian junior who's cutting his teeth on the World Cup circuit. Riding and training with Stevie Smith certainly helps

Gee Milner 2013 Demo Reel

Whilst filming with Joe Connell I experienced blue skies, t-shirt weather, dust and then freezing cold heavy snowfall, in the same weekend. Welcome to Scotland!

That was awesome, I liked how the majority of it was not slow mo. The over abundance of slow mo is ruining a lot of segments these days.

I just rode my ass off for a solid 3-4hrs...got home and watched this...now I want to go back out and ride. Lucky for me it's pitch-black and cold outside. Banger-fest!!

Funny, same here. Shuttled all day. Too bad I'm hella tired and it is below freezing now.

I tried to go out for a ride, the darkness I can tolerate, even the cold climb, but dry 15 degree air sucks the life out of you. At least I made the climb before my fingers went numb! That was a long harsh ride back.

I'm not a videographer/media type myself but I do know what good filming and editing looks like and this was definitely impressive, like how when the music paced down a bit a rider slowed down for a corner. Nice music choice as well. Quality.

As a film student, I can assure you, this is excellent.

First off: awesome video. For sure one of my favorites.
Second: did anyone else notice him many different bike/fork combos he had for races? That's a lot of sponsors in 3yrs.

We heard about Adam going OTB on that roadgap from Mal n Ben from Roost - it's pretty cool to finally see it happen. Didn't he break his collarbone in that crash (again)?

that double backflip onto his back made me cringe!!!!!!

That was Sam Reynolds. He broke his back on that attempt. He's back in action now. But I will always wonder what kind of year he would have had if he never got that injury. He's pulling some of the nicest and most creative tricks in the business. Can't wait to see him in action next FMB season.

Your a great rider George Milner, you obviously hang out with the best of em. But I don't know you personally and as a fan will never call you Gee. Because that name is reserved for former UCI world champ and almost RB Rampage champ (if it were not for Cam Zink's 3drop stunt in 2010). I do wish that you become that accomplished so I will call you Gee. But right now the name Gee in mountain biking is like the number 99 in hockey. Reserved for Atherton, IMO. Wish you good luck in the future.
