For some reason that was one of the best GoPro vids I've ever seen. Maybe it was all the color or all the speed, or maybe it was just CVD killing the wall ride!
@crash-brother i literally thought the exact same thing !! then looked down to comment and you've got it down pat! literally came here to say this, the best edit ive seen in 2013 hands down
I feel as if the video was one of their best because it really showed a story. It showed their adventure, it showed them speaking spanish and interacting with the people, and it showed that pros are real people too. It was also a nice switch up because of the multiple angles
sick video, sick edit, sick country, it's great to see so much spots and great riders going fast on places like this, valpo is a nice city, but the greatest trails here are at the south of chile. love the video
Even the bikes were sick! Like what was that blue and white framed bike? Anyone know? And i thought i even saw a cannondale headtube logo on one! Cool stuff guys!
CVD was riding a YETI, MR. Chase rode the Cannondale you seen, i think its a Jeckyl, and Brian Lopes' bike was if I remember well an Ibis Mojo! Have a good day buddy
beautiful living shit chile, pedaling with the ocean on the horizon through the streets of the big downhill wanted valparaiso main port and beautiful women that more!! ..... good edition to the team that performed this wonderful work and especially riders .. and many more vimeos come forward so long and narrow living the montanbike chilito ... shit ..
I lived in Santiago for two North American summers (South American winters). I was fortunate enough to have friends with a place in Valpo. I've been all over the world and this is truly one of the most amazing cities anywhere! The art, the people, the landscape, it has it all. Anyone going to Chile has to visit this gem! So sick! Little known fact - before the Panama Canal the main shipping route for Europe came right through Valparaiso. They still have a pretty prominent shipping industry
I truly envy those guys. They travel the world, ride awesome places and get paid by their sponsors to show off new gear. It's the Peter Pan version of mountain biking, never grow up and stay forever a kid inside. Truly blessed they are.
The only but of urban dh I have done is steep pot hole filled roads and steps on the way to the local dirt jumps. And then down a big road with some grass ruts on the side that I could jump up. From first impressions, I love it and sure would like to do more of it. I live in a hilly town in the country side too so there is lots of opportunity. I will have to see if I can get a race organised.
Narrow alleys, tight corners, dogs everywhere and no place for mistakes, cause you'll either end in someone's house or car...
Damn it must be great to ride there!
And that wallride was fkcing epic!
I am Chilean but have lived in the US since I came to go to school in the 90's. Valpo is a surreal city and this video shows a part of that. In high school I rode a lot BMX and used to take my bike to Valparaise with friends and had a blast free styling there, better than Santiago's skateparks for sure. I wish I had my Rocky Mountain back then. 160mm of travel could do wonders in those streets. Great edit, great riding and great riders. Being roughly his age, it is great to see Lopes still shredding hard. I guess I'll have to take my bike this summer and give it a try!!
This was an incredible video. Not only did it have great riding, and a good scene, but the directing of the video was just terrific. I love how it ended where it began. It really hit it home in my book. Terrific!
visual bliss, with the good angles, contrast of colors and the clarity. The transitional moment to speak with the elder street citizen cameo shoot the bus patrons and wave at the loclas adds to the warmth of the fun they were having and the absolute thrill of the ride. Sum it up. Makes me want to ride!!!
To my original point:
These vids make me both so depressed (to be sitting at a desk all day) and so happy (to be a biker) at the same time!!!
Have a good day buddy

Then dat wallride. And it only got better. Amazing video, and loved the Tarantino-esque take on the beginning/end.
