What a weekend it was up in Swain, NY. The Gravity East has yet to see the infamous Swain Mountain be so wet and muddy. From prior years the track had been dry, loose and fast, until now. Heavy rain kept riders on the edge as they tried to make it down without sliding across the finish line. Spirits were high none the less. Family and friends from all around the east coast made it back for another successful GES race.

Thanks to everyone who came out and we look forward to seeing you at Windham, NY.

This is the future of downhill. Not everyone has a huge mountain in their backyard, and Swain represents a small resort that took a chance on our community. It may not be perfect, but for lots of local folks, it's the only thing they've got.

This is a family owned mountain and the owners are awesome. They do everything possible to put on a really great event and they love DH'ers! The mountain has alot of other trails that are a blast to ride plus they have a motocross course. It is worth a trip to ride there - plus they have the best wings - they know how to make them right in western NY!

and by smaller i mean not pro grt

The Gravity East Series runs concurrently with the Pro Grt on occasion. It's the same race in Windham June 30. UCI cat 2 race. The races have a great atmosphere. Colorado SHOULD get another series together now that MSC has gone belly up. Races at Keystone, Steamboat, Winter Park, Sol Vista, and Crested Butte would be great.

luckily winter parks having their own series again incorporated national points in so theres still a chance to qualify for angel fire!

I was there. A couple pro's practiced on AM bikes but went with Session for the race. Go figure. Nobody counted on a greasy course.

Really cool vid. Nice to see something spotlighting the other smaller series. Looked like it was tons of fun for the riders

That was a greasy race, seems like those guys would have been better off on an AM bike given how mellow the course looked

The mountain was a lot of fun even though it is small, there are other trails to the left of the race run that were a blast. Trail 3 was my favorite!
