Course marshals blow a whistle as a rider goes by 1) so spectators/photogs farther down the track know a rider is coming and 2) so slower racers know if someone is right on their ass (kinda like the blue flag in moto).

Mind you the sunlight is really harsh in the videos, accounting for the blown out sunny sections in the footage. And camera will have that problem, even if it's a gopro. Also for compression that could be the editing software or pinkbike.

Ya I've noticed myself when I'm riding in an area that has constant shadows from trees it has a real difficulty with it. I think it just isn't capable of adjusting from low light to bright light constantly

They are kneet maybe because you are using a friend's go pro then, but as soon you get back to contour u feel its fuzzy. Even an iphone is faster in light control. This company need to put money into work rather than adverting the crap out of that cylender with lenses. Brothers, Go Pro.

Not really, chest mounts tend to be more shaky. Especially on a course like this...

Chest mounts are very stable. This video is shaking couse the track is unreal. shaking the riders skeleton and even the soul like no other track. I would love to see the rain coming making think even gnarlier...i think the rider should use both head and chest mounts and make a good video edition...

Helmet cam just looks like the rider is hovering down the course. I like to see what the bike is doing, what line the wheels are taking, what the rider is doing with the controls. Not the front of a lid hovering down the track.
