Race Face Components, Pinkbike.com and Rocky Mountain Bicycles proudly presented the world premiere of rising star filmmaker Aaron Larocque’s What’s Next?, at the first ever live broadcast film premiere and VIP party: Breaker Breaker 09.
Rocky Mountain’s GM Charles Russell: "I really loved the free flowing style of the movie. The epic cinematography, unreal lighting and of course the riding just blew everyone away. For Aaron to pull this together was indeed a feat, and I think the crowd who were treated to the premiere certainly appreciated it."
42,000 viewers tuned in during the 4 hour live broadcast to witness an abundance of industry and riders tear it up sin city style. Tippie and Wade treated viewers to exclusive interviews with a variety of attendees, including the man of the hour, Aaron LaRocque: "All in all it was an unreal event. It was awesome to hang out in a mansion in Vegas, hanging out with the riders I grew up idolizing."
LaRock’s Top Ten - a selection of Aaron’s personal top 10 Pinkbike video web edits from 2009, were also announced. Pinkbike members were able to log on live and vote for their favourites. Here are Aaron’s official picks:1. Artbarn
Good music, good riding, good camera work, good video.
Some of the best cinematography around - no gimmicks, just straight up skills with a camera.
A rad edit of a rad kid. Unreal riding, really well shot, really well edited. Not often you see good footage from an indoor park.
Always the raddest music and such cool fast-paced edits. If I could put more than one of his edits on this list I would.
Gets me pumped. period.
Original riding, unique style both on the bike and behind the camera.
I’ve known Andre for a long time and he’s always been pumping out awesome edits. This to me is his best work and I’m constantly impressed with him.
Race videos are often really repetitive, hard to appreciate how fast they’re really going etc. but this edit was awesome and got me pumped.
Super lush, banger light, all around a really awesome video.
Best contest footage ever?
