["It is WET out there, mate!" Scott Beaumont, master of the obvious, on course conditions.]

Surely the master of the obvious was the person that asked him the question about course conditions?

right, we haven't even posted photos yet, and WC video is iffy at best with the new rules. There might be some later, but I'm not counting on it.... sorry.

@ svdhrider, it costs a LOT of moolah to film in the World Cup now. Like around a few hundred for 10 minutes of unedited footage.

Are those rules there for amatuer people too? It seems odd that we support such a restrictive organization. There should be more races, in more parts of the world (America...Asia?).

Yes, I believe they are also for amateurs. Here is the link to the rules. I do not think it lists prices. www.vitalmtb.com/forums/The-Hub,2/2011-UCI-World-Cup-Filming-Rules,5430

The WC coverage this year is SHIT overall. Wheres the videos ffs? Not blaming it on pb, but it's getting f*cking rediculous.

It's pretty much impossible under the new rules for anyone other than professional film makers and the official event partners to shoot video. Actually it is possible, just incredibly expensive for anyone to shoot dailies, so no one is doing it. Thanks UCI!!!

I figured it was something like that. Sure the UCI organize these events, but they seem to be hindering the sport, not helping it grow.

look on freecaster.tv. it's the only decent internet coverage. and it's live
  • 2 0
I do watch freecaster, but i also miss the edits that we used to get.
