That french interviewer is so awkward.

Wow fast paced and and exciting! It will be a great spectator sport.

It was pretty fun watching the live feed. The pace of how the contest ran was pretty awesome as well.

The commentators said at the very beginning that they already knew who won and we're watching a pre-recorded version. That's why it ran quickly, they cut out waiting bits and left only the racing

Oh that's great. Just wish they cut out that final jump camera angle where the dude felt it necessary to run up the landing with the camera shaking or even upside-down. That was sooo professional.

Dual Speed and Style is pretty rad. Its fun to watch those guys. Cam Zink can throw a back flip as effortlessly as I can pick my nose.

Why only 8 riders? Was there a qualifying round?
  • + 2
No i think they just put the replay only from the 8th finals...

bmar, are you digging for gold this minute?
  • + 2
I'm dropping that habit and taking up back flips instead.

David McMillan is Australian... Not french. Silly crankworx broadcasting...

I have to say, I love DS racing. I'm getting out the shovel this weekend and scoping out a hillside I know locally Smile

 Redbull has awesome flavors.

What time does it actually start? EST?

The scoring system seems a little too simple, but I'm a big fan of this contest; lots of strategy, cool tricks, and an interesting watch! I'd like to see more of these

I was surprized that Strait lossed - I thought he was faster and his tricks were better - and he gave up a huge headstart off the line

Looks like redbull media player doesn't work for me..

@Alwaysrider, your the only one that has to worry!

Pivot Cycles Racer... In Clip Ins?! no wonder he was going for a speed only run...
  • + 1
Would not be fun to crash in those!
  • + 0
you can do loads of tricks in clips! and contrary to a popular belief, crashing isn't any less pleasant than on flats.
  • + 1
But if you start tumble down the hill with the bike still attached to you, I think it will probably lower your chance of fertility...
  • + 1
Haha. I'm on clips for the third year now, had a few crashes (and a few big ones too) and that never happened to me. Properly set-up pedals won't do that.
  • + 1
mallets might, spd I doubt that could ever happen
  • + 1
you would have to be good to trick in clips, which is why he was only throwing whips, while soderstrom was tailwhiping...
...could you tailwhip in clips?
  • + 1
I never said you can do all tricks. But 360s, flips, no handers - why not. Bailing is just as easy, trust me. Yes, you have to be good - but you don't see beginners flipping on flats either, do you.

I think it really depends on the riding style!

It wasn't live yet, SPproductions - you good to watch it now?
  • + 1
wow was i not paying enough attention to the race but martin clearly came second, but still received the faster time?
  • + 3
Each riders actually has a timing device so that there is no issue with not having a start gate and riders going too early. Martin was behind but he started behind.
