Palmer, Peaty, Hill, Minaar, Gracia have all sported works of art covering their barnets (helmets), as have many a keen downhill rider. Dipping into their sky rocket (pocket) to shell out some hard earned cash to look "Trick" out on the DH trails.
O.K so that's race weekend covered, now how about the riding you do most of? All those hours hitting the XC and Enduro trails where the real riding and saddle time is done..Luckily these days we don't have to ride with a something as ugly and as useful as a chocolate fireguard on our heads. These days the Enduro piss pot style skull buckets are a lot more pleasing to the eye.
That said it's always nice to keep up with the Jones's, you know what it's like in the trail center car park. Someone pulls out their ride and it's got the latest ti, anodized, carbon gadget on it.
This is where you can cruise past, nodding to yourself that your the "Daddy" with a custom sprayed lid. Not saying this Protec Ace Dig wasn't nice enough already. Just look at her now after Big Al gave her some loving..
£40.00 gets you the lid in the U.K from here:http://www.paligapltd.co.uk/
Worldwide inquiries from:http://www.pro-tec.net/bike/main.html
Around $40.00 US Dollars
If you're U.K based then Big Al can sort your lid out via his website www.mfxairart.com
Al covered this beauty of mine in a pearlescent white base that glimers and shines like a cat's eyes. Then to top it off a twist on the legendary Independent Skate Truck Companies logo of the Maltese Cross. (Yes the SRAM X/O bit is a sticker) and we're off.
Back to the basics:
Let's see you down the trails, which ever one you choose,
Just make sure your not wearing those devils shoes,
As it's time to train, rain or shine,
Now remember, never clip in and you'll be fine..
