postcanyonlock. Markona has been to whistler 3 times, and what the article says is biased. That has nothing to do with "understading whistler," its about understanding what the word biased means. Not dissing the camp, dont get me wrong it looks awesome, just dont have a rant at someone for saying an article written by a company advertising its own camp is not gonna be a bit biased.

I know what the word 'biased means'- And I highly doubt he's been there at all......but I know having a post to get a few signs ups for COC wasn't hurting anyone. If you were a camp owner, what you would write? I bet it would be biased and poorly spelled.

good points, get em Estes! You gotta vent that "cabin fever" one way or another!

Is it me or do all these Ween-teens think they are 'know-it-all's'- another 16 year old genius. Give me the neg props- I don't care.

all that for 950 is one hell of deal even without getting a bike to ride- price it against going to a snowboarding camp at Mt Hood

postcanyonlock you missunderstood me. the camp looks sweet, good price and whitler is so good, iv been there. i was only pointing out if the article is written by the camp itself, it will promote itself, and some of the information in the article may be slightly biased. i am not saying this is a bad thing, the camp is advertising, i was just making a point. also it aint just for rich kids, people will save up for years to go to whistler, dumb comment

I read in one of Summer Gravity Camps adds, that they have lift line priority, meaning they can hop in the front on busy days, and they also have a designated 3-5pm airdome session each night, does COC offer anything like this? just curious, as to compare the two.

We don't have lift line priority at COC but the only days that really matters on are the weekend. Saturday is our arrival day and Sunday is our first day in the park so taking it a bit slow on the first day isn't such a bad thing. Things COC has that SGC doesn't have, is things like Ride Along Mechanic, where our mechanic will swap you bikes while he fixes yours, so you don't miss any riding. COC bikes have their suspension tuned to the individual rider at the start of each session. COC rolls new Norcos,Transitions, and Banshees, SGC rolls Kona rentals. COC has a coaching ratio of 1:3 SGC is 1:6. COC invented summer camp Pro Photo Shoots, has them everyday, and you get to keep every photo shot during camp, not just one. COC includes things like paintball, skyline ziplines, miniputt golf, movies at the theater in town every night and a sick 3200 sq foot tent full of pinball machines, vintage video games, Rockband on a big screen, Pingpong, foosball and more. SGC charges for the same activities and does not have a games room our lounges. These things are some of the differences between the two different camps. Both are fun, you will have a great time at either camp, what is important to you is what will make you pick one camp or another. You can't miss with either one, we just think you'll learn more and have more fun at COC. Pro Camp is a different type of camp. It's designed for people who might not have the scratch for a full camp but still want to ride Whistler. Think of it as an easy way to ride Whistler and take advantage of local knowledge.

Sorry about the pixelated photos. They are sharp in our gallery. We also just added the "Ride Along Mechanic" to the Deluxe Camp of Champions. Our buddy Strontium Dog is our new ride along mechanic. The only thing worse than flatting our blowing something up on your bike is the time wasted fixing it. Now if you flat or whatever it's mellow. Strontium Dog will swap bikes with you so you can keep riding, then after he's fixed your bike, catch up to you and swap you back. No more wasted runs.

 Sounds sweet
But since its written by camp of champions, its guna be a bit biased...

First of all- Your 16. WTF do you know about promoting a camp? Second- Your no where close to even understanding Whistler. I'll take a million negative props when I comment- Your clueless. Ken Ach busts his ass off to make his camp(s) kick serious ass. If you haven't been there- then shut up about a biased opinions.

No need for comments like that. Hes just guessing, He didn't claim he would have been there. Of course it'll be biased, But he didn't claim that it would suck.

$950 for a week in Whistler. You can't do it on your own for that with a bike rental and somewhere to stay. If I wasn't chained to a desk in the city I'd be there.

no shit eh! iam the poorest moutnain biker to ever live jk Razz

the best place to ride in the world in Whistler, my friend told me that Sun Peaks is better

Your friend is high as a kook. SP is fine but it ain't Whistler.

 its for rich kids only
  • 2 1
And for kids that try hard to make money and doing what ever it takes to get to what they really want to do. Saying something is "For rich kids only" is just sour grapes.
