It's not always easy pushing your limits, it doesn't always end well. For Luke Mccombie, one of New Zealands top slopestyle riders, things went a bit pear shaped doing just that last year in Southern California. Over rotating a 360 and coming down hard on his neck, he has spent the last year rehabbing and is now able to ride with confidence again but without the ability to go for extended periods and flipping still seems off limits for the time being.
The rehab is coming along nicely and progress is being made every week, in the mean time however it's nice to get out on the bike and just have fun shredding some local trails around his home town of Wellington, NZ. Luke is moving permanently overseas soon, so this will be his last chance for awhile to capture some images on his local trails. Although he wasn't able to show what is possible on the dirt jumps he has worked on over the years, we hope this mellow edit shows how much fun you can have "Making The Most Of It".
We look forward to seeing Luke back to full strength and having even more fun on his bike. Here's a glimpse of what he is capable of when healthy.
