Shaolin monks, the Fuel Girls, fireworks and Rammstein. The Masters of Dirt Crew know how to kick things off with a bang.
Freestyle legend, Edgar Torrenteras, and Jose Mireles training it in. Mireles was getting loose all night, even gooning around on the bike mid-backflip. Later in the show Torrenteras took the centre of the arena and beatboxed, which somehow managed to be weird, surreal and utterly amazing all at once.
Edgar Torrenteras won the whip competition and to winners come good things. He was pulling whips where he was looking at the crowd behind him - it's not easy to explain just how nuts it was. Apparently this year they had to keep the winner further away from the Fuel Girls to keep things slightly less, well, explicit...
Andreu Lacondeguy, on a bike this time. Just look at the height and the extension. Watching him over the week, he seems to be riding the line between style and disaster, yet somehow keeping it in a pile everytime.
Heath Frisby and Jeremy Stenberg are here with their sleds. The simple mechanics of how you flip something that heavy and the consequences if you get it wrong don't bear thinking about.
It's pretty certain that there's no other show you're going to see where they jump a car towing a caravan as the finale. Although the guys weren't happy with this jump... They bought the cars to get smashed up and the car survived. Tomorrow they're going to up the stakes and if it still survives, well you're going to want to be here Sunday to watch them get their fill of destruction.
