Video: Mitch Ingley 2012

Dec 14, 2012
by Thomas Gaffney

2012 has been a different year for Mitch Ingley, for the two years previous he had only participated in downhill events. But this year, he took up the chance to race the UK Gravity Enduro series. This didn't start out the best, with Mitch going over the bars at Coed and feeling pinned down by all the full susses. But by the last round he rode he was up to 18th out of 97 riders and winning in the hardtail category.

Mitch Ingley through 2012 shredding his hardtail in the bluebells the local pit bike tracks and Morely woods all shot within 15 miles of his home. Towards the end he got back onboard with his old team riding a Nukeproof Scalp, which he rode to 8th place at the Llangollen race, not bad saying he'd been off the downhill bike for almost a year and his best national placing before that was a 10th spot, and that was back in 2010. Now he's back up to pace and should be ripping it up at the British Downhill Series 2013!

Mitch Ingley smashing it in his race run to come 8th at the nationals even with it being his first DH race in over a year. www.500px.com thomasgaffney www.vimeo.com thomasgaffney

they come in various cc's, but are usually the same size. i'm no expert but you'll probably want over 100cc's they are really junky otherwise.

The pitbikes a Stomp 125cc, they are the same size as a CRF 50, great fun even for me at 6 foot

i had a crf 50 as my first bike and i put aftermarket parts on it when i got bigger and it worked well for just messing around at my friends property usually a crf 50 with aftermarket parts will be much cheaper than an actual 125cc pitbike

Had a prime view when he went over the bars at Coed, qualifying run on a dry day but nasty crash. 3°C driving rain on race day was no fun, especially on an exposed hillside waiting for your start time.

From the looks of it... You and I have VERY different ideas on what a "dry day" is....

'dry' in the uk just means it isn't raining! lol [I grew up there for 23yrs]

When did it become acceptable or cool to skid around every corner in a video? Packing loose loam to drift in to is barely acceptable as far as I see it (seems so fake to set it up like that and unnecessary) but skids....

As someone else commented: Ruler of the Earth on the DH bike though Smile

Is there a cc limit on dirt bikes in England, or are mini bikes just in vogue there?

This is at least the 2nd or 3rd clip coming out of GB featuring mini bikes, just interesting.

Don't know why everyone is complaining about him skidding all over the place, it's the way he rides.. And hes super quick too! Great video Smile
